Wonky, thanks very much for putting that clip on. I realy enjoyed it. 😁👏
I can't think of which people were my special favourites, but I get all maudlin when someone plays Freddie’s songs. That lead guitarist makes his music special and I love Adam following Freddie’s style. 😻

Another fruit tree that I grew from seed. Quince Blossoms.

We could do with some rain.  There are clouds building up, so fingers are crossed.

Morning Dove. We’ve had some overhead rumbles, but no wet stuff. Typical!

  • Morning all,

Have read back, brought a smile to my face all of you discussing heartthrobs. 😁
Apart from Artem Chinchintvez, which I can't spell, Paul Michael Glaser is the only pop/movie star I've ever got excited over. 😅

Wet weekend here and covid gloom is still in the air, very quiet out. Tearoom not as bad as expected but definitely a lot quieter than this time last year, also more staff issues. I'm trying desperately to be sympathetic to someone's personal issues but I'm a strong believer that at work they have to be left at the door, we put our professional heads on....I've had a chat, we'll see. I'm under so much stress already juggling business needs versus h&s  it's just another thing I don't need/want to be worrying about.

Weather is supposed to be clearing up a bit later this week, fingers crossed. A lot of that going on at the moment, I do so hate being out of control of my own destiny.

Anyway, good day to all of you. A new week ahead. 🙂

Morning all/afties @Pat E. Lovely pic. The fruits of your labours  :)
Isn't it weird how stirrers appear hoping to cause reactions. So dumb   ;)
Paul Michael Glaser @D0rdogne_Damsel. People always liked one or the other didn't they? Innocent times  :)
Hope you can get a resolution to the staff problems. Too much to juggle in the current climate.
Not a bad day here. Days of rain isn't unusual here, so it's nice to get some drier stuff. Hope everyone is drying out a bit now. Or has built a canoe...

Morning all, haven;t been on here lately, PC running slow.  We don't have fibre in the village, and when it rains, you get water in the BT box, where the landline is, sometimes loose the landline connection. Washing all done, Heating checked, was told by a Hospital Plumber many years ago, check it every month, not when you want to put it on, good advice.Feeling a bit smug, I planted the foxgloves I had grown from seeds, and a couple of shade lovers, just before the rain, going to potter down and check them in a minute.

@sam bevington Better still - To Catch a Thief!  Lovely actor and actress.  Agree about Robert Redford being under valued as an actor and have enjoyed all his films that I've seen, whether behind or in front of the camera or doing the narration in A River Runs Through It.

It is wet and soggy again here.  I have cancelled all patch and mosaic activities for me this week so I can be here to carry on emptying treasures from the potting barn and environs but have to do it in bursts when the wind drops.  There's a huge slab of roof just rocking precariously on OH's barn wall.  Chappies will come in the week to see but are, understandably, busy with other emergencies too.

Meanwhile, OH has golf competitions this week and intends to go so can I make him a cake?  Borrowdale Teabread baking now.

Stay safe everyone.  Hope you're not affected by all the wind and flooding.

My shower works off the heating system @Nanny Beach , so if the pressure drops, it's a cold shower. Forces you to keep an eye on the system though  ;)
I usually try the heating each month, even in summer. It's always a good idea. Even with fairly new boilers, which mine is. It's not uncommon to need heating for half an hour to keep the chill off anyway here, even in summer, as it's often cool.
