We’ve discovered some very good dark chocolate with liquorice. Yum! It’s one of our best brands in Australia. My GP said I had been very good with my sugar intake, so I don’t feel bad having a small quantity. 😇
I’ve got the washing machine going but when I took the pegs out to the line, I was disgusted to meet a hot wind. Not looking forward to fighting the clothes line.
Good morning all 😊 ☕️ Thank you @punkdoc thats very kind of you ... if I find I have too much I’ll let you know 🍫 It’s dull and grey here ... and although it’s dry-ish the promise is rain for the rest of the day.
I have apple sauce to make to accompany the roast belly of pork for supper ... but apart from that I think a lot of knitting may happen today 🧶
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all/afties @Pat E I must be a real pleb. I hate dark chocolate You can have all of my share - anytime. @Pat E - I quite like watching these Border Patrol programmes - either NZ or Australia. The saddest thing is these vile people who transport/smuggle live animals from your country for sale. I was just watching one and they had 9 beautiful shingleback lizards. The stress these poor creatures must endure, if they even survive. Hopefully the rain will go off and I can get outside today. Not sure it'll be washing drying weather though. Never got beyond 8 degrees yesterday, so it's already warmer.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Haven't seen the news @Pat E as our TVs are tuned to UK satellite services. However, we have had more strong winds, heavy rain and plenty of thunder. The remains of OH's barn roof are teetering. More of mine has come down but I'd removed everything below so it's OK. Haven't been out yet as it's so wet but OH went to open the door for the chucks and said no further damage.
I really like good milk chocolate with a 50% or more cocoa content and proper cocoa butter, not palm oil or other horrors.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Morning all. I get French TV news and the Figaro by email. The SE France behind Nice is very badly hit, water pouring down the hills and washing away people's houses and roads. It's very difficult for the rescue services to reach them. Looks horrendous.
It's been wet and windy here but not as bad as where @Obelixx is.
I will have a quiet day today, throwing out more stuff of 1st OH. Must finish clearing his desk before son 1 takes it.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Take care all those with challenging weather. Keep cosy all those with just plain wet and miserable weather.
More baking and jigsaws for me today...
