As a bloke (hmmmm - but not bloke'ish) I can see why women go for certain men - Essex - I can follow, Clooney I can follow, Brosnan..yep, Garcia yep, Pitt (the younger - or is it youngest?) yep...all with a certain charm to go with the looks. BUT Gere...GERE?..his name is even an anagram of 'A smarmy tw*t' - he's Castor to Ferret's Pollux - twin smarmy gits ...jealous? Moi?
A girlfriend of an acquaintance thought I looked like Kristin Scott Thomas. Nope. I don't. Even Stevie Wonder wouldn't have thought that. I remember folk talking about it, but I never felt inclined to watch @Biglad. Hope you got a free lunch @steveTu Talking of which. I should have mine and get outside now that the sun has sneaked in an appearance.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
You didn't miss anything @Fairygirl - it went on forever and got very silly!
It was absolutely infuriating. OH watched it. No one ever answered any question. I had to go out of the room, it made me scream. It could have been about half the length.
I was never much into 'pretty' men. Richard Gere was better when he got older but even then - piggy eyes, I always thought. Bryan Ferry wore far too much eye shadow glitter (but I love the Avalon album). Being a bit younger than 27, the Beatles were all old by the time I knew who they were so passed me by. I never 'got' Tom Cruise, either, or Leo. I think my Mum had a bit of a thing for Robert Redford. Out of Africa was her favourite film; she claimed it was the scenery and the music. But I wonder - I bought a promo photo from a film shop of Butch and Sundance when I was looking for something (anything) to cover up bare breeze block walls in halls when I went to Uni. It was a great photo but I had dozens of pictures and posters - enough to cover a whole room. Somehow it was only Butch and Sundance that ended up on her wall at home. Now Steve McQueen, or Denzel Washington, or Timothy Dalton (especially as Mr Rochester), or Sean Bean as Sharpe [drifts off absently]

Talking of Butch and Sundance, my old(er) sis was into one of the two who played the parts in the TV semi spin-off - Alias Smith and Jones. Personally I always thought the dark haired one looked like Davy Jones out of the Monkees. Now what a band they were....
Glad someone else thinks Gere has piggy eyes as well..
Evening all...gere.....definitely piggy eyes! Christopher Walken for me.... or obviously Prince. Excellent tribute on YouTube with Danny Harrison, Tom Petty, ELO and others with prince for guitar solo......genius!!!! Been putting up picket fence for past 2 days in constant rain so excuse me if I'm minimal!!!!!! https://youtu.be/6SFNW5F8K9Y
