Morning all/afties @Pat E - glad you've got some of the wet stuff you need. We had plenty  overnight but it's clearing now.
@chicky - I was just thinking yesterday how beautiful the leaves are everywhere. Beech trees all look stunning here just now, and the sycamores. There's one near me that looks like an apple tree from a distance, because the little spots that have turned are all round the edges. Very unusual, but really pretty.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

hi hello Fairy and Dove. We’ve had about 5mm so far, and that’s good for us. No runoff yet.

    Morning all.
Yet more rain here. I wish it would stop.

    Morning all.
Rain here too but should see some sun tomorrow.

The trees are still mostly green as most are oaks here and they are late to change colour. When I drove OH to the airport two weeks ago there were yellow trees but I fear that was because of the drought. It has rained ever since then, a lot.

    Morning all,

Bucketing down here and forecast not to stop. Big puddles forming at the bottom end of the lawn. That will probably be squelchy until spring now  :(

Wet night here but dry and sunny bits between strong gusts.  Possum and I have just spent an hour or so clearing trays and pots of plants away from immediate likelihood of squishing when more roof comes down.

Lunch next then a trip to a beach with the dogs - both of us slept badly and I hope some ozone and crashing waves will do the trick tonight.   She's having another wobble.

@Yviestevie - I hope things are going better for you and no 2 and the boys and indeed for all your family.  Not easy.

@Biglad - We retired here from Belgium to have less squelch.   It mostly has worked but not just at the mo.

@Fairygirl It's odd.  I just don't see people being unpleasant to SM staff here except once, a couple of years ago in LIDL when someone wanted a refund.  I'd gone looking for plants on offer.  They have surprisingly good fresh salmon and decent wine offers too but don't cater for my general weekly shop.

Hope everyone's OK and surviving the weather and all the rest.
