    Morning all (just),

Dry (ish!) here today. Going out now to see what the rain of the last few days has done. Could be time to compost the french bean plants. They're still trying bless 'em but I don't think they will be producing anything worthwhile from now on. Doesn't help that they're in the bed that gets waterlogged during heavy downpours  :o

Wigwam down, squashes and courgette plants up, soil weeded and turned. I’ve weeded the front bed and planted the wallflowers and tulips in the only patch that gets sun at their time of year ... thankfully that’s near the front door 😊
The buddleja needs cutting back soon but it’s still full of flowers. The Sarcococcus has put on a lot of growth this year ... I might try trimming it into a formal shape next year (after it’s flowered is presumably the right time?), otherwise it’s going to get much too big for its spot.
One line of washing is flapping in the breeze and the next load is nearly to go out. I should’ve put a load on last night to but what with visiting bro and buying fish I got all disorganised :/

I've got washing on as well but looking at the gathering clouds, think it will all be going into the tumble dryer. Meant to do it earlier but came over all dizzy this morning and had to go back to bed. Not sure what triggered it off however as yesterday I thought I was getting better and was contemplating cancelling the Dr's appointment for tomorrow when she is going to move my head around. I can't do much gardening at the moment which is very frustrating.
Our 14 days self imposed isolation after our North Wales holiday is now up and it seems we're in the clear which I'm pleased about. I'm so glad we went, had a lovely, if slightly strange because of all the Covid precautions, time. Not sure we'd do it now though.

Hope the septic tank survey is okay @Busy-Lizzie.
We've already taken down our beans @Biglad, ours didn't crop as long as they do normally so assume we didn't water them well enough in the hot weather.

Just heard Jeremy Vine play Ronan Keating’s version of John Lennon’s Woman ... it’s appalling 😭
Lennon’s laying his bleeding soul bare has been served up with saccharine and schmaltz ... whoever arranged that should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves 😖

Truly dreadful @Dovefromabove, even by his standards. Fortunately, I had to get in the shower so I was able to drown out the noise of it  :D
His version of #Father and Snn is equally hideous.
@punkdoc - your joke reminded me of a news item earlier. It infuriates me that they still refer to those hideous Isis creatures as The Beatles - Jihadi John etc. Why was that ever allowed, and more importantly, why do they continue with it?
Polite answers only. Or maybe not....
I'd have thought you'd be used to a bit of wet stuff @Biglad, living where you do.  ;)

Absolutely @Fairygirl - in a few more generations we'll have developed webbed feet and the ability to breathe underwater  :D Just hope our fruit and veg evolve as well.

Why do you think I use raised beds @Biglad ;)
Saves a lot of grief  :)

@Dovefromabove -great post is there nothing that James Corden isn't good at?
Trouble is Trump supporters thought he could walk through anything & now they think they have proof. One of OH's cousins is seriously considering coming to UK if he gets re-elected.
