    Morning all.
I hope you enjoy the course @chicky, if I were younger and living in England I would have loved to have joined you.

Going to the tip this morning, includes a load of paint tins that I cleared out the other day.
Then going to lunch with an old friend.

    Morning all/afties @Pat E - if the leccy comes back on  :)
We take it for granted so often, until we don't have it...
Hope you have a good day @chicky. Lovely pic again  :)
Nice and bright here, although cloudy. Looks like it will be dry anyway. Nothing much to do outside though, so it'll be some pottering and bits and pieces I expect.
Have a good day everyone, whatever you're up to.

Back on line. 😁. Hubby had woken early enough to fill the thermos flasks with boiling water so I was able to have my morning cuppa. 👏👏

We have been putting the wildlife camera in my veggie garden because something has been feasting on my parsley and French Sorrel leaves. Still don’t know what it is, but Hubby found a nice photo of a Kookaburra investigating things (probably worms etc).

Lovely photos @chicky and @Pat E. Good luck with school Chicky, sounds interesting.

It's overcast and drizzly here, but my new wrought iron side gate is scheduled to arrive, so I'm pleased about that. We've been waiting since July for it to be made.

Daughter and I may brave Dunelm later if the weather doesn't improve - I'll drive because of the queues into Bristol - she's still a bit nervous in her new car, she's only had it a week.

So far it has been one of those mornings ... we are trying to beat the printer into submission as we have some important HMRC Guidance Notes to print out ... OH has switched it off and on again a few times and I have threatened it (the printer) with redundancy .... I can order a new one online and it'll be here by 10pm .... but I've just got a load of new ink for the old one (which isn't actually old of course). twisted

    ..............................................................

I said it was one of those mornings ... I typed the above some time ago and didn't press submit I was not going to give in ... it was the printer that must submit . twisted twisted twisted ... Since typing that I've set the bread on it's big 'bulk rise', picked runner beans, courgettes and chard and hung two lines of washing out  .... OH and I also had a discussion about the disposability of modern printers and the numbers there must be, languishing unloved in landfill sites ......... whereupon the printer whirred and clicked and started printing the guidance notes .... mug mug mug

Had I already phoned HMRC and requested a set of printed guidance notes ... of course I had roll

Good morning everyone.  I have been out watering pots and recent plantings in a bid to help it all survive my absence for a week with no rain in view, temps up to 29C and OH in charge of watering.  He needs to learn to count when wielding the hose pipe.

Now for another coffee and then a bit of messing about upstairs in the sewing room and sorting out stuff to stash in that dresser thing.   Hopped on the scales while I was up there having a look and am now done 10.5 kilos which means my BMA has gone down from 29.5 to 25.9.  Almost obese to almost healthy.   Whoopee!  Doesn't take much.

I have paint sorting to do when I get back @Busy-Lizzie tho I leave it to OH to do dump runs.   He wants me to throw out our directors' chairs but I am resisting cos all they need is a good scrub and new canvas.  Future project.   He has no idea how many seating areas I have in mind cos we will have to slow down at some point.

Looks like a lovely day yesterday @chicky.   Hope today goes well too.

    No hill yet @Fairygirl?

Haven't seen a forecast so no idea what weather you're having over there but hope you all get what you need for whatever you're doing or planning.

We had rain forecast for the weekend, then I saw @Obelixx's post and looked at the forecast again. Our rain has been cancelled, 30° sun instead!

Our printer does that sometimes @Dovefromabove. It also sends a note to my laptop in the kitchen to say that it can't connect to print, so I go to the study where it lives only to find that it had printed after all.

Been to the tip, must change into something cooler and prettier to go to lunch with our friend.

    Morning all,

Murky and dank here this morning. I blame the NDN who cheerfully told me that we'd be having a heatwave this week  :(

Need a couple of dry days to finish all the painting jobs that need doing before the weather is really grim for 6 months.

    Could be a non-gardening and non-training day  :o

Hello all. Wouldn't it be nice to have some rain @Obelixx, if only. I'm trying to keep two Amelanchier Canadensis trees alive that I planted two years ago this winter, the ground around them is quite cavernous. the leeks my NDN gave me are looking sorry for themselves also, so must give them a good watering. I hope you enjoy your course @chicky, my son did a horticulture and landscaping course at Merrist Wood when he came out of the Navy, he really enjoyed it.
Enjoy your day all whatever you are up to.   B)
