Hopefully. I think most of the tourists will have gone soon, and the roads might be better. Less badly parked vehicles too.  :)
Are you desperate to see the wee guy already? Daft question  ;)

Good morning all and good save @Busy-Lizzie.  Hope the fawn is OK now.  Good luck with the pigeonnier.

I'm on potting up and potting on duties this morning so small things can survive my absence for a week.  Then I need to get cleaned up and do a raid on Leclerc to keep the cats, dogs, birds and OH suitably supplied.   He wants a steak.  Fine by me.  Need to pot the latest batch of tomatoes too after they've cooked down some more.

Lovely sunny day again with 30C expected and bone dry.   Ditto tomorrow but I'll be stuck in the car all day.  Ho hum.

I like the look of a kookaburra @Pat E but not the noise when they're awake at dawn in a nest outside the bedroom window!   How our friends in Manley Heights managed I do not know.   Love the cherry.

You OK @punkdoc?  You've gone very quiet again.

Hope everything settles now @Yviestevie and for anyone else with worries.

Did you sleep well after all that mental exercise @chicky?

    Greetings to all i've missed.

Desperate doesn't even begin to cover it.
Nobody is more surprised than I am about how much I've become smitten by him.

We'll just have to rename you Desperate Dan  ;)
doc was on a thread last night about bulbs that I posted on @Obelixx, so he's around, if not terribly visible.  :)
I think I might start calling myself a pigeonnier. I seem to be attracting Dave [all right Dave?] no problem. Cupboard love. I've become rather too fond of him. Need the embarrassed face emoji.
Going to get out in a mo for a walk. It's bright, cloudy and sunny. Jaiket may be needed.

    Hi all

I am here, just a bit quiet. I am trying to make a difficult decision. We have 4 days holiday booked for next week, at a lovely hotel, close to Oban. It has cost a lot of money, we really need a break, but I am just not sure it is a risk worth taking.

  • Hi all just catching up again. We went to Wisley again yesterday, it was very busy. This visit was more about meeting friends, who we were due to meet in town just as lockdown happened so that meet was cancelled. The Terrace restaurant has just re-opened so we had a very leisurely lunch. So we both had a very relaxing day which was much needed after the last 5 weeks.
Printer ink - Which did a report recently criticising the mfcrs for the exorbitant cost and the facr that many have technology in place to stop you using 3rd party products. They said some inks cost more per millilitre, than vintage champagne, 20 yr old Scotch Whisky, and top price perfume.

Yes, printer ink can be a rip off.

@punkdoc all the news reports I have seen seem to indicate that the increase in infection rates is coming from young people gathering carelessly and giving their infection home to their families.   Assuming you are well enough to do the journey and can keep your distance at any motorway/pit stops on the way, I really can't see that a few days in a lovely hotel is going to be a huge risk to you and the change of scenery and some good food will do you a world of good.

Have had a merry morning potting on babies and rooted cuttings and divisions.   Very satisfying.  Now to go and water all the pots and troughs in my nursery and then have lunch and get scrubbed up for going to the SM.

    Morning all,

After more rain o/night, we've got blue sky!  :open_mouth:

Will try and make the most of it after doing the weekly click and collect from SM. It might even be nice enough for a plod later on.

Still trying to contact the Newcastle hotel about my booking for this weekend. It was for the GNR so I want to move it to next year but can't do it online. Can I get in touch with them? Can I heck  :(

@punkdoc I agree with @Obelixx, but after the latest news I hope the hotel will still be open.

Wasn't able to sort out the pigeonnier as has to deal with phone calls and admin. then it was too hot to be on a south facing terrace. Been doing some sorting of the landing cupboards instead.
