We have bats in the garage, they make quite a mess of my car.
I am hoping to hear from the solicitor, Notaire, soon @Lizzie27, but as the people I'm buying from didn't use an agent he has been waiting for information from them, septic tank, termites, asbestos etc.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
@Obelixx I've just calculated we've got about 20 metres x 2 metre high of privet, the golden kind - I hate it (wouldn't have minded the plain green one so much) and you're right, it's very smelly! Glad Possum seems sorted, I expect you'll be pleased to see her again. My daughter's coming to stay on Sunday in her new car. My old one I gave her is going to the big scrapyard in the sky tomorrow (sob).
Hope the new house purchase is not going to be a pain @Busy-Lizzie and that life calms down a bit DD, sounds like you could do with a rest.
Good morning @Busy-Lizzie and @Pat E and everyone 😊 ☕️ I slept like a log ... I did wake once as the full moon shone on my face through a crack in the half closed blinds ... but I went straight back to sleep ... then when I woke at around 6 the sky in the West was full of fluffy clouds all coloured bright pink by the rising sun ... I’ve been sitting here watching them fade back to white ...
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all, Sounds like an idyllic start to any day @Dovefromabove. Charlie is in school, first time since March 12th. He's glad to be back but a little apprehensive obviously. Lovely morning here but the street cleaners have been cleaning since 7am. They use leaf blowers and big ride on road sweepers which between the makes a terrible racket -and very slow progress, I do wonder sometimes if they would be more efficient and quieter with just a brush and some elbow grease. Everytime the big thing reverses it beeps.... All at 7am. 🙄

Morning all/afties @Pat E . Hope Charlie enjoys being back at school @D0rdogne_Damsel - much better for them. We only have tiny street sweepers here so it's not too bad. The big ones are only on the main roads. Handy if you need an alarm clock though! Could you just get someone to cut the hedge for you @Lizzie27. 20m isn't very long - surely a local chap would do it for you? We had a warmer night for a change, into double figs. I think I'll get out soon before the lovely weather appears that's forecast for here too @Biglad . Did you get all your painting done?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Lovely looking morning so might get out there and get some jobs done before the weather breaks.
