Good stuff @Hostafan1 - 21 and 15 for me, and now my sister's phoned. What's that about! I'll hopefully get out later once the wind and rain drop a bit. Got trousers to fix anyway.

Wow! @Hostafan1 That's good ... they weren't easy ... I only got 12 and OH got 21 .... we both got the same for the second round too
I think I might invent new rules ... 1 point if I know it but can't get the name, 2 points if I know it and I can sing it but I still can't get the name ... how's that? And for the What's the year? question I think I should get two points if I get the decade right ... after all I have more to choose from than OH
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Have just been to fetch Rasta who has been shorn. Forecast o the radio says we're due a big storm from Friday and all weekend. Deep joy!
Oh well, it'll mean I have time to do my patch homework - workshop to prepare - without fretting about being outside.
I listen to one of 3 or 4 stations depending on where I am travelling in France and Belgium but just the one in my sewing room and have yet to hear a pop quiz on any of them.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Just caught up again but have not read everything as there is too much. @Fairygirl- perhaps you could be laird of the high hills, giving you the right to order the numpties off home to give you a quiet walk? Was at Royal Free yesterday pm for a routine eye clinic appt. My lovely OH insisted on driving me rather than me going on the "tube", still means I sat in a closed room with a load of strangers (waiting area) though they did all the correct distancing & masks etc, so fingers crossed. Best wishes to all.
I like the idea of @Fairygirl bossing oiks of the hills.
Hope all is OK @Allotment Boy OH and I have been out exploring beaches for walkies. The first we tried is gorgeous but no dogs allowed, not even o a lead. They are allowed to walk in the dunes behind but the sand is too soft for my stupid knee. We went somewhere else which was better underfoot and turns out to be an inlet with lots of oyster beds so a whole "village" of shacks selling oysters, mussels, giant prawns and little brown shrimps and cockles and langoustines to eat on site with a glass of wine or take-away. We're having fat jumbo prawns for starters tonight.
Whilst driving about they announced on the radio that Friday's storm has developed and will be a weather bomb on Thursday night with winds up to 150kph along the coast up towards Brittany. Hatches to batten then.
@D0rdogne_Damsel - if you want to visit the Vendée Globe "village" when you come at half term you need to book a slot in advance. Can be done online.

Hope all is well with the eyes @Allotment Boy. Another thing we take for granted when everything's fine. Laird of the high hills There will always be numpties unfortunately, but the nice folk make up for it, like the ones I met on Sunday. However, the ones who descended on Loch Lomond at the weekend, blocking roads again, and preventing an ambulance getting through, need a real sorting out. That's the problem when it's a local holiday here, there's good weather, and it's within an hour of Glasgow. I think police should have the power to remove those vehicles and bring a hefty charge. Unforgiveable It eventually cleared up this afternoon, so I got a walk. Still a bit wet, but not so windy, and dry now. Might get some gardening of some kind tomorrow.

Thanks for the advice @steveTu, but the link didn't work.
I went to the bank this morning about the deposit or the new house. It's really easy, they lend it to me and they will pay it to the Notaire, only 9€ for 3 months loan. He told me that it was good that he'd changed a savings account for me last year as it would have lost money if I'd kept it and the new one has gained. The bank also does house and car insurance that sounded much better than the one I have at the moment so he's changing my car insurance from next month, used to be difficult in France, had to give 3 months notice by recorded delivery, and they will insure my new house.
I did some more clearing of dead weeds in the vegetable garden and got in 3 barrowloads of logs for the woodburner. It's quite warm this evening, heating has turned itself off, so I won't light the woodburner.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
We do all our insurance thru the bank @Busy-Lizzie - good rates and keeps it simple.
@Fairygirl - some Bozo here was recently stopped doing 140kph in an 80kph zone - huge fines, lost license and fancy Audi car confiscated as a matter of course. Surely the Scottish police could do similar with numpties blocking roads to essential services.
OH's last big inter club golf competition on Sunday has been cancelled because of the weather bomb which will stop them being able to do prize giving etc outside. Better do some washing then so he has ironing to keep him busy. A bored OH at home with nothing to do can be exasperating!
