  • Good morning @Hostafan1 and everyone as you arrive
    😊 ☕️

Perhaps they need to remember to take their meds? Bless ... it’s sad. Looks like they were frightened by an old lady in their youth and with Hallowe’en coming up they’re probably getting more and more stressed about it happening again 🧙‍♀️🧙‍♀️🧙‍♀️

  • anyway,  good morning Dove and Hosta  :)
  • Good morning,
Bit of a unexpected discussion going on here and other threads this morning. 😱
Anyway, weather a bit better today I'm off to buy some compost. Very much missing my own compost heap, but there really is no room for it, my new terrace just gives a bird's eye view of the whole of the garden. 😳
One unexpected bonus to spreading all that compost around the beds in June is I've got pumpkins, lots of them, climbing up my garden wall, most bizarre. I'll post a picture later. 😆
Have a good day all, hope all this debate settles down later.

    Morning all 😀

School day for me today 📚📝.  Time to get those grey cells working 🤓📖.

Thinking of you today @Yviestevie.  Hope all goes well and you find lots of happy memories to share alongside the tears.  Big hugs 🤗
  • Ah yes ... thinking of you all @Yviestevie ((hugs))

    Morning all/afties @Pat E if you're around  :)
Difficult day for @Yviestevie indeed @chicky. I hope it's ok for her too. She's had a really dreadful time recently.
Lovely photos you posted  - I was having a nap by that time I think  :)
Didn't know that either @steephill. I felt quite emotional passing B. Lomond the other day. It was such a long time since I'd been!
Hope you can get that sorted @Lizzie27. The loss of balance is a horrible feeling.
Lovely clear skies here again, and we seem to have just missed a frost. Looking like a good day.

Good morning!  The wind has dropped as has the temperature even more!  September & October are usually two of the most beautiful months here.  Here is a saying from the farmers here "Quand les hirondelles voir la Saint-Michel (feast day today)
                         L'hiver vient qu'à Noël
                         Pluie de St-Michel sans orage
D'un hiver doux est le présage."
But the swallows have gone so the cold has arrived early.  No rain so we are in for a cold winter this year.
I hope you are all keeping safe and warm.
    Cheers Tui

Aww let us have some fun @WonkyWomble 😉  ... life is very boring for ‘old menopausal ladies’ who are ‘waiting to die’ 🤣  it’s like a cat playing with a spider 🕷 🐈 🧙‍♀️ ☕️

September is usually a lovely month here too @tuikowhai34, and when we get quite a lot of the frosty/clear days that I love. Have you had very little rain through summer though? That's always difficult for gardens. I love the little saying  :)
