  • Evening all.Ā
After swinging a mattock yesterday for 5 hoursĀ  surprisingly I have a bad back!
Did 4 hours gardening for 2 customers today and that is my lot before I cripple myself.Ā
@Pdoc I totally agree that you should go on your little break.Ā  Lord knows we all avoid the youth at the best of times,Ā  let alone when they are contaminaters!! So just be sensible and enjoy yourselves!
Sat in the garden with a beer now then dinner and a quiet eveningĀ

@Punkdoc, we're facing the same situation - got a week booked in a small hotel in Snowdonia next week and a steam railway trip (with our own compartment!) booked for our anniversary. So far we are still planning to go, eating in at the hotel each night and will spend as much time outside and away from others as possible, weather permitting. We will of course be watching the situation over the next few days. We figure (and hope) it should be quieter now the schools have gone back and the weather's not so nice.

Hope you go and enjoy your break, life is for living and not hiding.

Forgot to say, have a good trip @Obelixx, hope it all goes okay and the journey's not too tiring.

    Morning all/afties @Pat E if you're there.
I can't be the first on here today - can I?
Hope the trip goes ok @Obelixx.
@punkdoc - go and enjoy. You have plenty of sense about keeping distance etc. The re- lockdowns are mainly central belt, and I can't see that changing, although no one really has a clue what's happening day to day. I just keep away from everyoneĀ  :)
Dry just now, and the wind has eased. It was gey gusty yesterday, but pleasant enough if you were moving. Everything's still standing, including me. All change again for the next few days with more rain and some higher winds, so nothing much will happen outside.Ā Ā

  • Yes, you're the first @Fairygirl ... I slept in then I got up and rushed to get the milk in, wipe it all down, put a load of washing on and do OH's flask while he did some other bits and bobs.Ā  He'll be back just after one so we'll drive down into the village and he'll get some stuff from Wrose.Ā Ā

Yes @punkdoc ... you take your little holiday ... as has been said, you know how to keep yourself safe ... the hotel will have a stringent sanitisation programme I'm sure, and if the worst should come to the worst and your car misbehaves I can promise you that the AA folk are really careful about Covid19 distancing and all that ... at least the chap who came to our rescue when we visited @Busy-Lizzie and her OH at their Norfolk cottage was great.Ā  You've taken bigger risks in your life, eh?Ā  ;) Do something that makes you both feel good ((hugs))

If doc gets stuck - he can give me a bell and I can come and rescue him @Dovefromabove ;)
Sleeping in. I don't know. Lazy ,mare..... :D
I had a poor show on Popmaster yesterday. Must try harder today.
I have to go out later, so I'll get a walk soon. It's just squeezed into double figures, so a little cooler than yesterday.Ā

    Hi all

Thanks for all the helpful advice. Unless things get worse, I think we shall be going.
It is a small hotel, on a private island, so hopefully not many people around, and plenty of space to keep away from others.
How can you lie there and think of England

    Morning all,

Good luck with your various ventures out into the world. Weather looks set fair and the forecast backs that upĀ  :o No excuses today - paint brushes out!

Will have to squeeze in a bit of trot later on, though. Had two whole days without trainingĀ  :)
