Thanks @Obelixx. I don't think I've worked as hard as you. Sitting on the bedroom carpet trying to remember whether I've read a book or not wasn't really hard going! Nor was filling a bag with first OH's car magazines to take to the recycling bin. Possum's move, exciting.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I went shopping! Into town with daughter who needed to get a key cut quickly and sent to her friend who's looking after her cat while she's up here (long story!) It felt a bit weird as it's 6 months since we last went (apart my two quick trips to hairdresser). About 50% of people were wearing masks outside and most people wearing them inside shops. We braved W.H Smiths (Bath's new PO) - big queue, Primark and M & S. I wanted to get a white fitted cotton sheet for our double bed but surprise, surprise, they didn't have what I wanted. I'm fed up with M & S, no wonder they're going down the pan.
I'm pleased we went because life has to get back to some normality and we felt reasonably safe, but didn't bother with lunch out and it just wasn't the enjoyable experience it used to be. The £6.50 car park charge didn't help either.
Evening all,Ā sounds like a busy day for you Obelixx! Best wishes to Possum in her new abodeĀ Ā Nice day working in Felixstowe today,Ā home by 2.30pm and doing my paperwork until now.Ā Have just opened a beer and am sat in the garden with the stray shed cat who is happy to have been fed!Ā Just trying to get the energy to cook steak dinner.Ā Have a lovely evening folksĀ
Been an odd day weather wise here. Not as wet as forecast, just smirry almost all day. Windier rather than wet, but not unpleasant.Ā Roast dinner for us as we were all here.Ā I've definitely had a lazier day than you @Obelixx One good thing is that the A83 is open. I'm considering getting up to do one of the wee hills. Weather looks quite good for tomorrow and Wed, but that's here. Argyll might be less favourable. My thighs may scream in agony at the prospect....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thanks Dove, I've seen them at Dunelm at a higher thread count and a cheaper price so may try there.Ā @Busy-Lizzie, I've previously bought duvet sets/sheets at Sainsbury's but am liking the pure cotton sets this year in particular. I don't iron them though!!!Ā
Lovely day in Bournemouth with Chicklet ..... got the chain ferry across to Studland and walked up to Old Harry Rocks. Then back to Westbourne for a lovely mealĀ
BIG day for me tomorrow......Iām going back to school š¤£. Ā First day of my RHS level 2 course at Merrist Wood. Ā Pencil case and notebook are ready, packed lunch ready to assemble in the morning. Ā Feeling a bit nervous - Hope my little grey cells are still up to it š³
