Many moons ago I had a 'work mobile' which many seemed to see as a status symbol but I viewed as a nuisance. I always left mine in my desk at the end of the day unless I was going to be out and about the following day. I was amazed at how many comments I got along the lines of "What if somebody needs to get hold of you?" My response was that I wasn't on call and they had my landline number and could leave a message if it was really important.
Rarely carry mine. I find it sad seeing so many folk glued to them when pushing prams [really, really sad ] or walking their dogs. Do they really need to be so 'available' all the time? I hate being available Do you remember when it was the 'in thing' to have a smaller phone? Now they're like encyclopaediasÂ
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I also remember when folk talked into them discreetly, now "phones" are held at arms' length and shouted at , and then they shout back. Anyone who "facetimes" in a public place should be shot. Does anything look more ridiculous than someone using an iPad as a phone?
