I've spent most of the afternoon trying to fathom out how my new phone works. Why can't the manufacturers issue two manuals, one for those who used one before and one for complete idiot beginners.

I used to work for one of the directors of Nokia and he was always bangin' on about me getting a phone. I told him I'd bought Hubby a new one and the Manual ran to 140 pages, yet nowhere did it tell you how to adjust the volume.
He wasn't impressed, especially when I told him I took it into the Nokia shop in Guildford and the first thing the guy working there said was "you want to know how to adjust the volume and it's not in the book? am I right?"

    Cars are the same  :/
They also don't give you a handbook now. You have to download it. Aye right. Even when you look at it online, basic stuff isn't there. Ludicrous.
I don't need to look at naked ladies on a phone either @Hostafan1 - I just have to go in my girls' bedrooms. They aren't bothered in the slightest  :D
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Do you remember when it was the 'in thing' to have a smaller phone? Now they're like encyclopaedias  :D
Isn't the theory that screen size increased along with the sudden ability to look at pictures of naked ladies on phones? :#

I've never looked at naked ladies on my phone
I'm sure the principal is the same for pictures of hostas.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

That's The Night Watch isn't it?  In Amsterdam?  Not free then but maybe reduced entry for students.  As I understand it they're undertaking a live research and restoration project on it, under the public nose, so to speak, so that's an old photo.

Roofing chaps didn't turn up and didn't let me know so I sent an text asking if they were interested or not cos, while I prefer someone I know I need to get it organised.  Reply says yes, they're keen but inundated after the storm so will come early next week.   Humph.

Dance class - only one other couple there and she had us doing quickstep which, I can confirm, is not good with a stupid knee so I had to sit that one out.  Double humph.  Hope we get some waltz soon.

Operation Night Watch started on July 8th. I’m fairly sure under 18s get free entry to the Rijksmuseum.
