Way too hot for us as well. OH made a pot of tea at 3 am because the police helicopter was just going round and round right above us. Never thought about sitting in the garden though, they probably would have thought we were the burglars or worse! Not done much all day apart from our usual paper shop walk but will need to water the veg tonight.

That will be lovely for you Hosta, it's such a shame you haven't been able to see him before now.

Evening folks, very, very hot here today.ย  Did a bit of deadheading this morning before popping to a garden centre with Bestie.ย  Bought a couple of penstemons for a fiver, not bad for 1ltr pots.ย  Apart from eating ice-cream that's all I've done today.ย  Firstborn is coming home this tonight and Secondborn will be home tomorrow.ย  Will be glad to have them home.ย ย  Didn't sleep well last night despite the air-con.ย  Have a lot on my mind and couldn't switch off so spent most of the night reading.ย  Hope everyone is OK.

My ex has been in lockdown alone, so I told my daughter she must visit her first and stay for as long as she likes before coming here. Then, when she is here, I know we've all seen each other and nobody's visit has been rushed.

That's very kind of you Hosta. My twin grand nieces are up staying with my sister right now, together with 3yr old brother, their mother and the other grandmother. Apparently it's a bit hectic and the dog Bessie can't understand why the twins can't throw his toy for him when he drops it in their laps!ย  They were born in Feb, about a month after your grandson I believe.

Sorry to hear of your worries @Yviestevie ๐Ÿ™. Hope you find a way through soon. ย GC haul sounds good though.

Exciting times ahead getting to know the wee one @hostafan1 ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Its been very hot and sticky here too. Not pleasant. ย Ventured out to water, but otherwise have been skulking in dark corners ๐Ÿค“ย

Did enjoy the cricket ๐Ÿ......another nail biter ๐Ÿคฃ

Weโ€™ve had lots of rain! ย The dams around the house area are full for the first time in a few years, and the river is Running like mad. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

we might take a drive to our back paddocks to have a look at them. I expect the dams out there to be nearly full as well, unbelievable transformation in just two days. ย No complaints here.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

I'm so glad your dams are full @Pat E. One less thing to worry about. How long would that water last normally?

    Good morning all ๐Ÿ˜Š โ˜•๏ธย
    Great news @Pat E ๐ŸŒงย
    Hope @Yviestevie had a restful night ๐Ÿค—ย
    Good cricket result @chicky ๐Ÿ˜ƒย

Weโ€™ve woken to what the weather app calls a โ€˜hazeโ€™ .. apparently it will evaporate in a couple of hours and we will have sun sun sun for the rest of the day. Must get the tomatoes watered early along with the huge canna and the other plants on the terrace. The canna is amazing ... 8 flower spikes ๐Ÿ˜Žย

Weโ€™re also doing well with the chillies ... Apache and Blue Christmas are covered with fruit and the plants our friend who gave us the seeds thinks are Carolina Reaper ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜ฑ are full of flowers ...ย
