Morning, just reading back comments, haha, Dove last week, you mentioned putting your heating on!  Guess that's not happening now, then.  Stopped off at Garden Centre yesterday, on way back from collecting grandkids, I called it a Nursery, got told off, I use that term, because its "proper" plants, knowledable folk even the young guys, family run place since the 60's.  Tried to get there last Thursday, but roadworks at the junction of A22/A27 meant after 30 minutes I had done a mile, so I gave up, went round the first roudabout and home

Yes, @chicky, I'm still having trouble concentrating on a novel, and it's really irritating!  I've been reading non-fiction for the last few months, including some lovely old gardening books inherited from my father, but they don't provide the "total immersion" of a good novel.  I shall try again...
Am all out of paper books and cannot come to terms with online reading. Would love a good novel! Watching serials on the internet..

    Morning all... where is everyone?
Second coffee going down nicely. Working in Felixstowe today so hoping for a coastal breeze as is going to get warmer than I'd like.
Hope everyone has a good day

I've been out watering pots and checking treasures cos we're due to get to 39C today but not sticky so OK.   No rain or cloud in sight and the storms forecast for Tuesday am have gone away.   I think I'll stick to looking at the sky to see what the weather's doing.

Just about to have second coffee and then get dressed in proper clothes to do the weekly SM run.  More indoors DIY later cos it'll be too hot and dry to garden.

Hope your family enjoyed their day at the adventure park @Busy-Lizzie .  We have one here too but its sister park - O'Gliss and watery - has to stay closed this summer.

Morning all. We did our SM shop yesterday and found it much busier with holiday makers, but I think most of them were French and not English as I think it is too much hassle on planes and ferries at the moment. We always have plenty of Dutch and Belgians as far easier to drive across the borders. The garden looks very neglected as it's too hot and dry to do much, no rain in the forecast.
DIL gets results of second cancer op today, I just hope things are ok as my son still has many ongoing problems from the virus, he had a ct scan on Monday and waiting to speak to the Doc.
I have to turn out a clothes cupboard today as i have found moths in it, I guess there will be some very unfashionable clothes with new holes!
Have a good day all and enjoy the warmer day.

    Morning all/afties Pat if you're there  :)
Sorry @WonkyWomble - I was out for my walk earlier...I'll try harder.... ;)
Nice not to need the waterproof jacket - or trousers. Sun's vanished now though, so I hope the washing will dry. I doubt it'll be 19 here today @Obelixx - 39 is hideous. 29 is hideous unless it's very windy  :D
I was out watching Mr Bullfinch. He's a very smart chap. Quite at home now.
Fingers crossed for your family @floralies. There seems to be a lot of people who've had the virus but are having long term problems with recovery. Terrible. It doesn't make any judgement on your general well being, fitness or age, despite what some people want to believe. Everyone can potentially succumb. There's a young lad up here, ages with my girls, and he's had a bad time too. They featured him on the news and did a catch up quite recently. He had to move back in with his parents as he simply couldn't look after himself. Perfectly fit and healthy, but he was completely incapacitated.
