I have spent the day trying to get rid of moths and Larvae Grrr. I took my eye off the ball and forgot to renew the moth thingies in wardrobes and cupboards. Found larvae on towels that aren't used very often, clothes seem to be ok.
My son has just heard that his colleague at work who contracted Covid at the same time as him died in April. He is devastated and just so upset, this will add to his mental health issues he is dealing with, I hope his Psychotherapist is a good one. His wife has to have chemo and Dr doesn't think it has spread but they will do a ct scan to be sure. It's their Wedding Anniversary next week, I really hope they can enjoy their day in some form or another.
I see France is likely to be on the quarantine list soon for those returning to the Uk, numbers are rising steadily here again.
    Night night all sleep well.

Very sorry to hear about your son’s problems Floralies. It’s a lot to cope with.

My Husband’s nephew is currently trying to cope with brain cancer and subsequent treatment after surgery. He and his wife have 8 kids, so my sister in law is in a state.

I hope things improve for your family.

we've had sleet all day here. Freezing outside.

    Good morning all 😎 🍹
it’s heating up here in East Anglia @Pat E .. they say it may be the hottest day on record ... I’ve been out there watering ... all the veg have had a good soaking ... now I’m leaving the sprinkler on the sunny bed for a while  and then I’ll move it over and give the big honeysuckles their turn.
We sat out in the dusk
watching bats last night  and were joined by a huge hedgehog who came in through the hole at the base of the new section of fencing, and snuffled around our feet as we sat there. 🦔 🦇

Good morning!   Going to be even hotter here today but there's a decent breeze at the mo so OH has taken the dogs out for an early spin.  He had to wait till almost dark last night for it to be cool enough.

Hugs @floralies   That's all so worrying.  Maybe the moths and larvae are a good distraction for you.  Not a problem I've noticed here but we do have piles of guest towels and sheets that don't get disturbed often - not at all this year - so I shall check them and buy some stuff, just in case.

That's hard too @Pat E so hugs for you too.   I really don't like sleet but at least it's wet.

No snuffling here @Dovefromabove .  I think I need to cut some discreet holes at the bottom of our perimeter fences.

    How's the cold @punkdoc ?

    Good morning folks
If anybody would like this heatwave they are welcome to take it! I'm not a fan of the heat! If not I'm moving in with you Fairy! You sound as if
You are as much of a fan of the general public as me!  ;) and it looks cooler weather with you!
Just cooling the house while it's still cooler outside than in. Then it's close all windows and curtains and try and keep the house a reasonable temperature!
Take care in the heat all!
Mother!..... stay in the shade!  ;)

Morning all. I shall be glad of the distraction of moth larvae hunting today. Too hot outside apart from some watering and hanging the washing out. Hello and hugs to you@Pat E and everyone else who needs them. Do you know which is the best moth deterrent @Obelixx? Best ingredients?

No idea @floralies.  I'll just see what they have in leclerc next Thursday.
