Morning all,Ā  Woke up with a very fuzzy head this morning.Ā  Planning to go into the garden and do a bit of weeding and feeding.Ā Ā
Can't wait @Fairygirl to get the runners, I'll get the pots ready :)
You have my sympathies @WonkyWomble I was in my early 40's too.Ā  I tried HRT tabs but they made me feel worse.Ā  I then tried patches and they did the trick.Ā  Used them for a few years.
@Biglad We repainted our fencing this year and agree that it is a really boring job.Ā  Mind you when it's finished it looks so much better.

    Hi all

What a fantastic wall, most envious.
Still feeling grotty, largely been in bed over the weekend, no idea what it is, probably just a gradual deterioration in the "illness"

How can you lie there and think of England

    Morning all.

    Your wall looks great @chicky

I sympathise about the hot flushes @WonkyWomble I had them quite badly and took HRT tablets which worked brilliantly. They had the side effect of stopping aching joints too. I felt really fit in my 50s. Then I changed doctor last year and he said I must stop taking them. He said 16 years was far too long. Hot flushes are back but nothing like as bad and joints are worse. Old doctor left me on the HRT as he said it would help stop osteoporosis. I tried patches, useless, had side effects. Funny how different treatments affect people differently @Yviestevie.Ā Ā Ā

An electrician came this morning. Two fluorescent tubes in the kitchen have gone, they are a nightmare to change, the loo near the kitchen light fitting has died, he's going to buy a new one, and a light fitting in the sitting room has gone too. Changing the bulb didn't work. He'll come back in around a week to sort it all but at least there is a temporary bulb in the loo. There is other lighting in the kitchen so we can manage.

Might you have been overdoing things lately @punkdoc ?Ā  I'm sure a rest will do you no harm ((hugs))

Hope you feel better soon @Punkdoc also Wonky and Yviestevie.

I was one of the lucky ones and sailed through menopause without too many problems.

Lovely day here, warmer than anticipated, wind has died right down and we have/had sunshine, clouds are beginning to build so I'd better get on out there before lunch!

Sorry about your BIL @floralies. A horrible choice, but I can understand the one he's made. Why make the inevitable even worse.Ā
Looks good @chicky - both pix. Hope Hadrian's not too soreĀ  ;)
I must be weird - I like painting timber. @Biglad -you missed a bit....
Runners are posted @Yviestevie , so it's up to Postman Pat now...and presumably his black and white cat...
I've been doing some more hacking. Phormium this time. I could do with moving it along a bit, but that may be a bridge too far.Ā
A rest is as good as a change @punkdoc ...or something like thatĀ  ;)
Not a bad day here but the sun never really hung around. Dry though. Good weather for grafting a bit.Ā

Good evening. Warm thoughts to those who need a boost.Ā

I have been working up a sweat pruning two large Phormiums today so a bit scractched and sore this evening. I have a dumpy sack full of leaves and trimmings! They won’t be going on the compost as they look like they are indestructible, the council can have those.Ā

ā€œFeels like a Sundayā€ tonight as back to work tomorrow.

I have just noticed BBC 1 at 8pm is a Planet Earth special programme:

I usually do the same @AuntyRach, although I sometimes cut the foliage up with a pair of snips if I have half a hour to wile away, and stick it in the compost binĀ  :)
