    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
We have what the weather app calls ‘haze’ ... 😐 and thundery rain on its way ... ⛈ ... however Tomas Schafernaker has just said we’re not to write summer off just yet .... 🏖 😎

Haven’t watched him on the telly for ages @Hostafan1 ... but he woke me gently this morning whispering the Shipping Forecast in my ear 😆

Me too @Hostafan1!   Having got fed up with dreary depressing London news, I'm still watching Beeb News from the north-west because they have the delightful Owain doing weather.  He's totally OTT and has the most gorgeous suits too.

Very simple cooking for me for a few days @Dovefromabove cos home alone but I have treated myself to some lovely lamb chops for dinner tonight.   I kind of miss the Shipping Forecast.  Very rhythmic and evocative.

No, but Owain is very entertaining and always makes me smile.

  • Morning all,
Funny you mention gay people, I had a most bizarre conversation late last evening with a chap wanting to reserve a place for my Mexican Soirée tonight. He booked for himself, but could we squeeze his French boyfriend in if his French boyfriend managed to dump yet another, 1 of 43, girlfriends in time. Apparently it's been happening for 12 years but he always comes back .... Going to be interesting .... Why he felt obliged to tell me all that I don't know, sounded a very nice chap, bless.
So, all hands on deck, literally to get organized for this evening, rain is threatening to spoil it, but according to forecast should be gone by 5pm......nerves are a little stretched, what do I do with 50 people and a singer and all his gear if it rains????

Sorry to read about family woes again, life can be very tough sometimes.

@Obelixx sounds like you're having fun anyway. 😁
Right, off to find a solution to possible soggy tortillas and tacos 😱😅🌮🇲🇽

Very best wishes to you all.

Morning all, early for me, been up since 6, too many things racing round in my head.  Was planning on a trip out today with Bestie but looks like rain has stopped play.  Supposed to be wet all day.  I also wanted to mow the lawn but that wont be happening either.  Not sure what I will do with myself.
