We took Possum to EuroDisney when she was 8 or 9 @D0rdogne_Damsel and stayed in one of their hotels on the edge of the park and thus had easy access and VIP priority so no queuing which made a huge difference. The combination of American culture with French service was not as bad as I feared and the rides were good but the food not so much and not cheap if you didn't want hotdogs and burgers all day. Might be better now. @Jacquimcmahon might have advice as she works for them.

We took the chicklets to Disneyland Paris once when they were 5/7 (they were wide eyed and loved it) and once just before Christmas, at their request, when they were 18/16 (when we had one of the best family weekends we’ve ever had). Its a magical place in my experience. Both times we stayed in the Davy Crocket cabins (mobile homes with fake log cladding) .....which suited us just fine.
Just been watching a re-run of a place in the sun @D0rdogne_Damsel and your town was featured .....it looks absolutely idyllic. The couple loved it too, and bought a house there and then 😜
Thank you @Obelixx and @chicky , certainly sounds worth investigating further. I will message @Jacquimcmahon too later.
Fancy seeing my town @chicky, I wonder if it was the people who were filmed here last month or another couple, they were called Jan and ??? oops, forgotten his name.
Off to the cash & carry now, my local, as in only 45 minutes away one has been closed because of a fire for 4 weeks and has finally re-opened. The nearest after that was well over an hour away on windy roads and hadn't coped with serving all the extra trade generated by the Limoges one being closed, resulting in driving over there for a good hour in the heat and finding nothing left on the shelves.....
I'll catch you all later, good day all.

Morning all/afties @Pat E if you're there. Did you not have any loaves and fishes to go with those then @Biglad? I can't believe you have clothes from thirty years ago @Busy-Lizzie! I don't keep anything I haven't worn in a couple of years. Straight to a charity shop, and anything I keep gets worn until it's only fit for cleaning windows. I'm an arch thrower outer though. My sister however - has acres of clothing and buys stuff regularly. I sometimes wonder if we're related at all. Hope you get your dram house one day @D0ordogne_Damsel. Oops -she's gone for her shopping.... Wet here too, and to be worse later when the wind gets up, so I might get the waterproofs on and head out now.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Seriously wet here too 💦💦💦. A day for getting on top of the boring indoor chores 🥱. Will have to get out in the rain to make sure things are secure before the wind gets going though.
@D0rdogne_Damsel it was a Scottish couple (retired GP and a nurse) .....probably a few years ago, as no mention of Covid, and people were hugging each other. Its sometimes hard to remember those days 🤗🙄😢
I do wonder how some tv programmes are going to engender the required amount of bonhomie etc without the almost compulsory indiscriminate hugging of recent years. 🙄

@chicky@D0rdogne_Damsel bought her house from a Scottish couple I think, be funny if it was them.
Good morning all.
I am probably a bit of a hoarder @Fairygirl. One of my brothers is a hoarder, drives me mad though so I can't be a complete one. This house is so big that I tend to shove things in a cupboard. But I don't do that in the Norfolk cottage and I'm determined not to in my new house. Next thing to sort is the shoe situation. I found a pair of high heels I wore in my 20's the other day. Oh well, I'm only 27! But I couldn't get my feet into them, I seem to have gone up a shoe size too.

Going to curl up and read. Would like to watch the cricket, but I don't expect there will be any.
