Horrible situation to be in @Floraries. Hope they get through it okay.

It's wet, wet, wet here, including thunder. Tried another GC but still can't get Aster Monch which I'm surprised at. Looked online, bit shocked at the prices. Presumably that particular one is more expensive to propogate as it doesn't set seed I believe. Is it me or has bird food in general shot up in price?

Actually, just looked out and can see blue sky!

@Lizzie27 I got my Monch from Burncoose ... it was a lovely plant ... good value really https://www.burncoose.co.uk/site/plant_finder.cfm?attr=H&sort=rec&page=3

Slightly smaller plants from Beth Chatto and nearly half the price https://www.bethchatto.co.uk/plants-for-general-conditions/aster-x-frikartii-m-nch.htm

Hardys and Claire Austin also do Monch - I use both of them lots and the plants are always excellent

And Woottens have it at £5:50  I’m not sure of pot size ... but I really like them as a nursery ... not that far from here so I sometimes pick stuff up from there or go an Open  Day.

Thanks @chicky and @Dovefromabove. Wootten plants look best for price/delivery charges so I'll try them in the morning - they're confusing me with another Elizabeth!

Surprised none of those nurseries came up when I searched earlier.

Hardy's and Clare Austin are both excellent - for almost anything  :)
How is the wall looking now?
Been wet here virtually all day. I managed to get the last half hour of my walk dry, so that helped dry off the wet trousers.... ;)
Pot of soup made with the chicken carcass from Monday's roast, and some banana, sultana and chia seed muffins.

Just as well I walk 6 miles every day really....

Rain has just got heavier here after playing at it off & on since lunchtime.
GC's Zumba class has been cancelled for the day so  no quite evening for us again, not sure if I have said before but the nightmare of their house continues with the builders uncovering more horrors  nearly every day. One of the last now means the whole house will have to be re-wired. They found the downstairs loo light fitting only had a short length of modern wire attached then it was connected back to the original wiring and the old insulation (which would have been rubber) had disintegrated. As the electrician said there was no way of knowing if this had been done elsewhere so he would not be able to certificate the work at the end. The only plus is that, as their is either a floor up, or ceiling down, in nearly every room he has relatively easy access.
On the upside we finally have our Japan Holiday money back in the bank so the Champagne is in the fridge, anyone got any raspberries ?

Just the muffins @Allotment Boy - not sure that would be suitable! Good result for you, if not for GC. Better safe than sorry.
Have you ever seen the film The Money Pit?  :D

Oh yes we know all about the money pit @Fairygirl, my wife has often bemoaned the fact that they bought this place with their hearts & not their heads.  We did not get to see it until it was too late. The things going for it were it was/ is in the right place for schools, has the space they need, (including workspace) and a big garden. It will be great, when it's done but they will both be working till they are older than I am now to pay for it.
