Let the pesky butterflies try to get in there !!!  😖

Love this - I need a couple of these (slightly smaller). Next year!

Hello everyone.  I think the threat of snow has moved to the ski slopes. They’re all clapping their hands up there. Fairy, in answer to your question, it’s pretty rare for us to get the snow, but not unheard off. Probably every 5-10 years gap.

It’s still cold. This morning there were 4 kangaroos behind the house that were soaking up the morning sun.

There’s another one behind the Grevillea.

It’s a bit hard to see. That used to be my rose garden before they decided some years ago that it was a good spot to find a bit of grazing. 🙄.  I really would rather look at them than thorny roses anyway.

  • Morning all,

Hugs to everyone, especially @Yviestevie, so difficult.

I managed 10 minutes in the garden yesterday, just took a couple of photos and plucked a couple of weeds out. The new beds are still very 'new', but they're coming on nicely.

    Morning all.

    Doing well DD.

I'm taking my car to the garage this morning to have bodywork repaired from when someone drove into it in the Leclerc carpark months ago. Covid also stopped the early repair as we were stuck in Norfolk, also the garage shut. Then when it opened there was a big waiting list. It will be serviced too.

Morning all/afties @Pat E. The roos look pretty happy there  :)
Lovely @steephill, and yes - when the world seem such a mess, it's lovely that wildlife is often oblivious. In the short time I was outside yesterday, the sun came out for a little while, and I could hear the buzzards, and virtually nothing else. Even the yapping dogs had shut their faces for a while  :)
You've reminded me @Busy-Lizzie - I need to book mine for it's MOT soon. They haven't been doing the collection service, but at least fairylet drives now, so she can hopefully come with me to save the walk there and back.
Dry here but back to more normal temps for the time of year. 6 overnight, and just managing double figs now. A bit of sun would be nice later if it clears as per the forecast. I'll get out once the schoolchildren have cleared orf.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

So pretty @D0rdogne_Damsel ... my Chelone here is still in bud ... think it needs moving to a sunnier spot ... but that’ll probably be too dry for it 🙄

Morning all - hi @Pat E !  It's amazing how well camouflaged those kangaroos are, for such big animals.

Lovely photos, @D0rdogne_Damsel@Dovefromabove has answered my question, which was the identity of the interesting pink flower in the second photo.    :)

Hope everyone has a good day...

@Liriodendron I only ‘remembered’ the name because its common name of Turtle Head is so descriptive that I recognised it and was able to google 😆
