Hi Wonky. Happy anniversary to everyone who have them. I think it was a Liri, you and Hosta.  Can’t read back and post at the same time,🙃🙃

we are settled in for our evening viewing.  The news has been getting worse every night, but so far we are ok here,

The only person whose been in our home since March was Wonky the other day, and she and we wore masks and kept our distance ... doors and windows all open so there was lots of fresh air blowing through and sanitiser used. All ‘touch points’ were treated with dilute bleach after she’d gone home. It felt odd doing that after my daughter had visited, but better safe than sorry. 👍

Good morning everyone.  Happy anniversary @Liriodendron.  45 is good going.   I married my best pal too 37 years ago later this month.  Doesn't time fly!

Sunny here but cooler and the hot southern wind has gone so it's pleasant.  Mid 20s so far but the farmers' forecast says soil surface temps of 45C so way too hot to be planting anything.   I will play at other things instead.   Altered 2 skirts and a top yesterday and have another skirt to do plus a support to fix for the garden table parasol.

@WonkyWomble maybe ask at the local GC if they have spare pots or the recycling centre?   Ours has a collection point for plastic pots.

Hope everyone has a good day and some sunshine.   OH is out playing golf so I'm pleasing myself in between cuddly dogs and snuggly cats.  I gave them all their flea and tick treatment yesterday and, while Rasta isn't bothered, the other 3 really don't like it and went to hide but are back to normal mischief today.

    Morning all.

    Happy Anniversary @Liriodendron

Son 1 and family, 3 little girls, are coming to stay for their holiday for about 12 days. They'll be arriving for lunch so I must get a move on.

    Morning all.

We had a beautiful clear night and I also marvelled at the moon and planets combo whilst bats darted about in the garden - highlight of the day for me.

Had a lazy morning so far so just deciding what garden jobs to do. I notice that another wave of warm weather is coming at the end of next week - an African plume this time. I might have to swap my day off next week to create a sunny long weeeknd.

    Have a lovely day all.

Morning folks, Happy anniversaries to everybody who's celebrating! Ours is next month, can't believe it will be 25 years then (2nd time around as well!!!)

Just having a strong coffee while I decide what to do next. A neighbour's winter jasmine is cascading down from the top of our fence, which itself is on top of our wall, so about 10 ft up. It's smothering my trachelospernum so needs cutting back but not sure how I'm going to reach it. I shall have to get the kitchen steps up on the raised sleeper bed first, so all a bit tricky. Might need OH's help. I'm not supposed to go up ladders!
