Hi Obelixx and Wonky. My sympathies with the flushes, brings back unpleasant memories. 😒
Obelixx, I’m not saving any of the oregano. I’ve still got plenty from previous drying sessions. This lot is going in the rubbish pile. Besides, I’ve noticed that it’s available all year round here, so no need to preserve any for slack times.
Thank you Obelixx, I haven't but I will! I've been running round looking after sick cats that I've dropped the ball a bit when it comes to having time to look after myself! Nannyb, that doesn't make me feel better at all! I'm only 44 and a half! I've been asked for ID 4 times this year! On the plus side, if it makes no difference, maybe I can have the odd drink.... still keeping the ice cream though! glad I'm not the only one that forgot it was bank Holiday!
Morning all/afties @Pat E. All these roasts - only chicken for us. Don't like beef, and youngest is intolerant, and no one like pork or lamb. That's why I didn't turn up @Dovefromabove or @Pat E I could have had the tatties and veg though I had the shivering as well as flushes @WonkyWomble, so I thought I had a virus of some kind. Doc confirmed that, no - that's also a symptom. That was worse then the sweats. I'm convinced that's why I can't regulate my body temp any more, even 8 or 9 years down the line. The joys of being a wumman eh? I didn't find anything helped, but nothing helped when I was pregnant either. Wonder if @Biglad is sore today.... Almost managed double figs overnight here, and it's quite bright, so I'll get a walk soon. This time last year I'd gone to the Cairngorms and it was a grand day although too busy for me. On our news yesterday, MR had to get several people off Cairn Toul, doing a charity walk. Heading for hypothermia as it was minus 10 there. I wish people would understand how weather works on hills, especially the Arctic tundra of the Cairngorms. The goldies were on the feeders this morning. They've been a bit absent recently. Mr Bullfinch appeared with the missus a few days ago too,and she was in this morning. Hope they 'stay'. Lovely to see them in the garden so often.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Still mobile (just!) this morning so no excuses to renege on the fence painting promise
Want to do 3 panels and the ugly slabs underneath so I can plant in my new border. The other 4 panels may have to wait depending on how long I can cope with the tedium.
@Obelixx I was due to do the Great North Run in a fortnight but that has been cancelled. Still got a fitness test to pass for my other hobby though
Hope everyone has a productive and/or enjoyable BH.
Aye - get that painting done. No excuses @Biglad No Bank Hol here, although I expect some folk will be off anyway -like they have for the last five or six months. I will send the strawbs later today @Yviestevie. The parcels don't go until late afternoon, so it might be Wednesday you get them rather than tomorrow I'm off for a walk now that the washing's out.

Morning all 😀. I have an ongoing fight with oregano too @Pat E - runs everywhere and is difficult to dig out. But it does give a pretty purple haze at this time of year, and the deer don’t eat it, so I try to keep the patches I have got under control.
Did lots of planting yesterday - soil was good and moist quite a long way down, and there were lots of wiggly worms, so thats good. @Fairygirl the hydrangeas are Magical Moonlight and Vanille Fraise - both paniculatas. I have both already, but the MM in particular makes a good show at the back of the border, so I’m going to repeat it a bit further along
Hello all, we have some snow on the peaks this morning but it won't last long as it's due to get hotter again this week. Nice to have the windows open with cool air coming in instead of hot though. felt rather sad this W/E as I spoke with BIL about his liver cancer, they have give him nine months to a year to live or could extend it by another year with tablets that give you awful side affects. I think he not going to take any treatment as he feels he has had a good innings at eighty years of age and there would be no quality of life. So I think just palliative care from now on. It's so difficult to know what to say in these circumstances but he seems quite phylosophical about it. Now to get outside and pick more tomatoes that aren't sun scorched - a bad year even though I tried to cover them. Have a good day all whatever you are up to.
