Thanks @WonkyWomble - great to hear from you.  Understand totally about feeling solitary.   :)

    Thanks @punkdoc

Fingers crossed for the sale of your horrible neighbours' house.   :)

Thanks Lirio  :) strange times create strange behaviour in some folks.
I've decided to just come on here when I need some like minded company.  Real world can stay the other side of the gate!  ;)

Congrats to all concerned @Liriodendron.    Lovely news.

Good haul @D0rdogne_Damsel.   I shall have to go and see what our GCs have on offer.   Haven't been in a proper one for nearly 2 months.   I like Borrowdale teabread which sounds similar to your Yorkshire cake with fruit soaked in tea.  My "go to" recipe when we have workmen in.

It is dull and grey and cool here again and we had some more unannounced wet bits yesterday afternoon.  Had a bit of a sleepless night but when I do drum up some energy there's weeding and planting to do in the rose beds and I think i'll sow another batch of spring onions as they're like hen's teeth here.

Have a fun Sunday everyone and stay safe.

Good morning all, lovely news @Liriodendron congrats to the family. I know just what you mean @WonkyWomble
Just been out to do some watering before it gets too hot - upper 20's today. Will have a "zoom" meeting with my daughter a bit later on and catch up with all the gossip.
Have a good day all whatever you are up to.

Morning all/afties Pat if you're there. Hope daughter had a good birthday.
Lovely news @Liriodendron. Bet everyone is relieved  :)
Big baby - but I was almost that size when I was born. Wonder if that's why my mum didn't have any more  ;)
Managed a walk earlier despite the weather, but I knew it wasn't going to be much better. I think the old Stealers Wheel song sums up some people round here- #clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right....
I like my O. burkwoodii @D0rdogne_Damsel. Lovely little scented flowers in spring. Even I can smell them, and my sense of smell is very poor.
Not much likely to happen outside here. There's a few things needing potted on, but no compost so they'll have to wait.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
