    Morning all 😀😀😀

Bits of blue sky here, and the wind has finally died down.  Today is Mr C’s birthday.  After a morning of more battles with the hedge (his request 😳) we are all going for a walk on the South Downs this afternoon 🐔🐤🐥🐣.

Morning all and happy birthday to Mr C. It's a beautiful day down here today lots of hot sun which I will do my best to waft up to all that want/need it in the UK. Have rescued two young birds out of the wood burner, probably Redstarts but because we haven't had it cleaned out yet it was a bit hard to tell!
OH is hedge cutting, have told him to make sure there are no birds nesting in it, I shall now go and put the coffee percolator on he is probably ready for a cup now. Best wishes to all.

Feeling a bit like @Hostafan1 and @punkdoc today.  Grey and miserable inside and out.  Not sure what to do with myself.  Should do some housework but can't motivate myself. Will have to throw the duster about at some point as my neice is coming tomorrow.  I think I need a bit of sunshine.

Morning, (just) a bit stiff after yesterday's 5 hour pickaxe session. Have extracted 3 ticks bringing this year's tally to 15 so far >:)

Same here @Yviestevie. I've bunged the sheets in the washing machine because we had sunshine earlier, now of course it's clouded over and looks like rain. Wondering whether to dash out and repaint my front door trough which is looking very tatty before I replant it or leave it until we've had this forecasted new storm Wed/Thursday.  Decisions, decisions - it's so much easier just to play on here.
How's your hubby doing now @Hostafan1
Don't do what I did @Punkdoc - a month or so after a major gynae op, I decided I was fit enough to do some gentle weeding, really enjoyed it, then found I couldn't actually get back up and had to yell for help!

@Obelixx, enjoy your retail therapy and watch that shoulder.

I was very surprised to see on Rightmove last night that our previous house is for sale again. It looked absolutely fantastic with very swish new kitchen and bathroom but very 'showhome' style. The owners have lost money on it though as the sale price is less than they paid for it two years ago - interesting. However that's still double what we sold it for 13 years ago - what an eye-opener! I so wish I'd kept my own house, could be really sitting pretty now!

Hi everyone. It looks as though this is a popular month for birthdays. Happy birthday to mr Chicky and belated birthday to Fairy’s daughter. My Hubby’s birthday on 11th.  He just counted back to when he retired and was surprised that it was 15 years. 🙄

Our country is going through a virus worry at the moment.   They have closed all borders in and out of Victoria. Might be some time before things settled down again.
