We went for a drive this afternoon. Stopped to take some photos of our hills.
Our Blue ‘ills of ‘ome. 😃
while wandering around to get the best angles etc I noticed what looked like black Labrador. Thinking it might be injured, wandered over to check and this is what I found.
Haha @Pat E, that really does look like a labrador. Lovely picture of the hills too.
I love the seaside @Obelixx, sometimes I wish we had relocated nearer the sea. We did look briefly at Bordeaux but it was very expensive and also too big and busy for what we were looking for. I have enjoyed some nice days at Arcachon and all the French people here spend a lot of free time at Île de Ré or Royan, but they are a good 3 hours away from here. Maybe a retirement spot to consider.
@Busy-Lizzie, I hope all goes well with the sale and finding a new home, exciting times - and a new garden to plan for.
I looked up the Love and Wishes Salvia because I thought the name sounded so lovely and in actual fact I think I may have bought two last week. In all the plants there they were the only ones without a label but I just loved the colour so got them anyway. I am glad you've all mentioned they are not hardy, I will have to take extra care of them, although I have lost two of supposedly hardy salvia two years in a row.
Going on another long bicycle ride with Charlie today but back to work tonight. We have 20 reservations for dinner tonight, the first marché des producteurs is on in the gardens below us tonight but because of Covid19 people are being very careful, I think a table on our terrace is deemed much safer but still close enough to enjoy the atmosphere. I have got staff in but I want to be there to make sure it goes ok, it is the first of 9 markets all summer. Could be a good regular boost for us if we get it right tonight.
Have a good day all, catch up later.

Great news about your house sale @Busy-Lizzie .....things look like they might be finally beginning to happen 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻. Good luck with your market night tonight @D0rdogne_Damsel ...... hope you become the best seat in the house 👍🏻
Mizzly here again today. But all this weather means my borage seeds, florence fennel and chives have all germinated nicely 🥳. We have builders arriving today to build us a new set of stone steps from one grassy terrace to the next level. Been wanting it done for years, and the builders who built our GH base were such gems we asked them to do this for us too. Very exciting 🤪
Morning all, Cute photo @chicky That labrador looks very comfy sitting in the grasss @Pat E
Feeling peed off this morning. Called the doctor re my eyes only to be told that I would need to get one of the new 'minor eye problem' appointments at a list of local opticians. Fair enough, I took the numbers down and called the two in my area only to be told that one didn't have an optician in today and couldn't give me an appoint for the next week because they were fully booked. The other one said they had no appointments available for the foreseeable but recommended I be seen in by 'someone' the next 24 hours.

Sorry, can’t get it to download. Will ask for help from Hubby.
