How is your Mum @Punkdoc, keeping well I hope and you of course.

I managed to find a small empty wicker basket in the shed and have planted it up with some bronze-leaved pink begonias to put on my Mum's grave tomorrow. Didn't really want to queue at the SM for flowers so the basket makes it easier and hopefully the begonias will last longer.

Thanks for asking @Lizzie27. She survived COVID, but her mental health is deteriorating rapidly. Sadly like many people in the same situation, not being able to see people has had a terrible affect on her.

Not my favourite either @punkdoc but had some discount vouchers.  Mind you I didn't use any of them.

That is very sad @Punkdoc and a worry for you. I think I've just read today that they might be relaxing the rules on care home visiting very soon so hopefully, if you are able to travel, you will be able to visit. We have the same problem with OH's oldest brother who's 80 soon and living in London, not the best place to be these last few months.

    Evening all.

Question: my Sister just messaged me to say a branch of her Victoria Plum tree has broken off, along with loads of unripe plums. Can we use the plums for chutney etc?? Anyone done this?

@AuntyRach  😊 I haven’t done it but certainly would give it a go  ... if you can use green tomatoes for chutney why not green plums?

Did anyone watch the programme on the Fens ... magic ... and Toby Jones could read anything to me and it would be blissful. I love his voice and he reads so intelligently.  <3
