That's great news @chicky - about chicklet, rather than hair I often have the top of mine in a pony tail, so I look like one of those ridiculous men who have a little 'topknot'.
Good morning everyone. Great news @chicky. Well done Chicklet.
Hope the mouthwash works @Busy-Lizzie. Still being careful with mine while waiting for a dentist willing to take on new patients. Our sit-on has died and it's taking OH a day to go round the bits he's cutting and that includes leaving half the grass long and uncut cos he can't get the big strimmer to play!
Good idea @WonkyWomble as long as you have the time and space to produce the plants from seed, cuttings, divisions and have a profit margin.
Cloudy bits all round today but blue overhead so another hot dry day in the high 20s/low 30s. Burnio but not scorchio so lots of sunscreen. I have onions to lift first and then a whole new bed to play with. 5.5m x 3.5m where we've moved the "nursery" round the corner into more shade and removed the weed suppressing mat. Faces west and has a huge compost heap to the south so there'll be a rusty trellis to cover with the rampant kiwi to disguise it and a clematis up that wall.
Forgot to say, we saw the comet last night, very faint and just above the trees on our northern boundary. Should be at its closest and brightest on the 23rd.

It's not a look that suits everybody, but some folk have the stature and presence to carry it off with aplomb 😎
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
That new bed looks full of exciting possibilities @Obelixx. Love, love, love that wall 😍. (Watched Shirley Valentine the other evening .....and that looks like a wall I could chat to 🤣 - bet it has stories to tell 🤪)
Brilliant news about chicklet ... well done her ... the best way to keep a job is to be indispensible
Sorry to hear about your daughter @floralies ... very hard times in her line of work at the moment ... but I'm sure she has transferable skills ... look at me, I was an Arts Administrator and Gallery Person who ended up doing very rewarding social work 😕 👍

Hi folks, Another grey day here, must have rained through the night as the garden is soaking wet. Hope your mouth feels a bit better @Busy-Lizzie Thanks for all you kind comments regarding my eye problem. @Fairygirl the optician wasn't really much help apart from telling me that there was nothing seriously wrong with my eyes. He said it could be an allergy or an infection and that it might take a few months to clear up properly, so I now have 3 lots of eye drops to take, dry eyes, infected eyes and sore and itchy eyes all with different ingredients (I checked). Not worried now, it's just a pain in the backside to keep remembering what I've taken when.
Sounds like a good idea @WonkyWomble don't forget to get the cost of compost etc covered. Haven't got anything specific planned for today apart from shortening a dress for Merri to take on holiday. I was hoping to get in the garden, haven't checked the weather yet to see if it is due to dry up a bit. Hope everyone enjoys their day.
Sorry @Hostafan1 - but it's right up there with that 'set of curtains' look that was popular back in the 80's. That wall is just crying out for some clems @Obelixx. Almost Popmaster time @Dovefromabove. Need to improve on yesterday - 15s on both rounds. Not good enough. I managed a 36 last week - only the Oasis question that foxed me. I always knew they were trouble....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
That wall is the side of my party/potting barn @chicky . Party cos it's shaded so we could, if a large group, eat in there out of the sun and it has beams just begging for some solar powered fairy lights and/or hanging candle lanterns. Potting cos the polytunnel is way too hot for potting and most seeds to germinate.
I have a plan for a theme of yellow, white and purples so there is a small yellow flowered hamamelis in the middle already so its branches can grow and arch over the plants below.
I have a white Huldine, a purple Crispa and a mauve and white Caerulea Luxurians needing homes @Fairygirl. Not enough wall for all 3. Other plants are a white flowered hebe, a white weigela, a purple cotinus, a variegated cornus, a herbaceous clematis Jan Fopma and then I need to find/sow some perennials for ground level cover and interest and pollinators and spring bulbs.

Funnily enough @Dovefromabove she is quite "arty", does some lovely paintings and really loves her Pyrography to a high standard. She also volunteers too help with a group of adults with learning disabilities - so who knows!
