Morning all. It’s dull out but ok for my morning cuppa outside. Apples have started ripening on my tree - good to know that some things in life stick to the script when there are so many unknowns and curve-balls this year.

    Have a good day all.

Morning all. SM shop this morning, OH also needs to buy some wood varnish for some chairs he has sanded down but nowhere has the one he wants, they have all run out, so we will have to have a different colour. Plenty of cucumbers to pick later for soup making, pumpkins are coming along nicely. Have a good day everyone whether you are gardening, cooking or just a laid back day.

Good morning @punkdoc.  I see you've absorbed the "taciturn Yorkshireman" spirit!

Just finishing my 2nd coffee and then off outside to play.  SM shop tomorrow for me @floralies while OH is golfing so I shall get proper mucky today and then do a good manicure and pedicure.  Loads of varnishes here at Mr Bricolage and Leroy Merlin but not in Leclerc now.   They don't seem to be restocking their DIY section so fast.

    Morning Peeps, Hi @punkdoc

Got a couple of NGS visits lined up this afternoon down in Sussex - weather looks like it will be ok 👍🏻

Chicklets and me met up with my sisters and nieces yesterday - to celebrate eldest neice graduating from Royal Holloway 👩🏼‍🎓, and Chicklet’s continuing employment.  Had fish, chips and prosecco on Shoreham beach, followed by a walk in the mizzly drizzle.  Cleared up a bit later, in time for a glimpse of the sunset.  Huge hoards of jumping mackerel came really close to the shore - turned the sea into a jacuzzi for ten minutes, to the delight of the local seagull population 🌊 🌊.

Less celebratory was the news that my youngest sister is now also going through redundancy consultations (she works for a travel company).....rubbish times.

Waiting for our first ever online grocery delivery this morning ......having built our confidence with click and collect these last few weeks.  I am expecting a delivery driver as lovely as @Hostafan1 ..... the bar has been set high 🤣🤣🤣

The Yorkshire weather is making me taciturn @Obelixx.
I am doing very well thanks @Dovefromabove. If it wan't for the rain, I was planning my first bit of gentle gardening, since late May.

Not raining here @punkdoc ... you could do a bit of gentle chickweed removal in the veg patch for me while I make pasties? It’s downhill all the way here 😉
But if you don’t fancy that a bit of extra gardening planning with a ☕️ and 🍪 won’t do any harm 😉

Morning all. Will be dismantling the broken mower today to see how bad the damage is. Had a search for parts yesterday but it is a long obsolete model and the manufacturer no longer stocks parts.
The local wildlife provided some amusement yesterday evening. The roe doe was scrumping June drop apples when a young fox popped up beside her. She was not amused! The poor little fox got chased around the garden, full head down charge from the deer. OH managed to get a quick photo - will try to get it on the wildlife thread later.
