Bits of Devon are Very expensive, but as I've said , get away from the big town, away from the coast ( even by a few miles ) and it's a massive county with lots of room
    Devon.

Morning all/afties Pat. Keep cosy  :)
Dry here today after all the rain yesterday. More coming tomorrow so I'll try and get some stuff done outside today. Single figs overnight here, but no heating on @Hostafan1. Tight Scot syndrome.... ;)
    Kids eh @Yviestevie?  :D
Glad you liked the wee squirrels. They have a tough enough time without their mums being run over. They now reckon that even having more pine martens won't keep the greys at bay enough, because the greys can adapt quicker than the pineys can get them. B*gger.
I watched a juvenile magpie having a go at snaffling a strawberry this morning. Don't think he's quite got the hang of it yet though. I'm sure he'll be back.

Hi @Fairygirl ... while you’re outside you wouldn’t have time to prick out some aquilegias would you?  I’ve got bread to make, lamb to marinade for a pasanda tomorrow and I need to get started on making a bday card for Bro and a first anniversary card for the lovely Step-womble and hubbie.

Good morning.  Cool and grey again but some silver linings today.  I have to do the weekly SM run this morning.  OH is going to a lunch for the Seniors golf team.  Partners invited, do I want to go?  No thanks.  Apart from not knowing them and not being remotely interested in golf which is all they talk about I'm not getting into that whole spacing thing.

Supposed to get sunnier again in a few days and lots of weeding and planting to do before it does.   Hope everyone gets some good gardening weather and stays safe.

Might do @Dovefromabove. I won't charge too much either.... ;)
Wonder if @Obelixx is a bit better today. Aches and pains are always...well...a pain...
Cake to make tomorrow for the older fairylet. Nice and easy. I went with one of those 'cards which arrive in the post' for her. I'm sure she'll appreciate the sentiment on the front anyway  :D

Goodness that year went quick @Dovefromabove - seems like only last week you were down Sussex way đŸ˜±

Hope aches and bruises are fading this morning @Obelixx - face planting is never a good idea.  Getting excited about the impending arrival of the chooks 🐓.

We walked mostly in the rain yesterday - and although parts of the walk were pretty, there was the constant roar of the M3 in the background wherever we went.....won’t be doing that one again.

Watched Marvellous last night.  Never seen it before.  Still smiling now 😀😀😀

    Hi all

    Wet again.
Thought it was very funny @chicky. Lou Macari wrote 9 pages in his autobiography about him.

Aches and pains fading thanks @Fairygirl but some mega cramps in the night.  Dosing up on magnesium now.  Might make a banana cake too.  Hope Fairylet likes hers.

That's a shame @chicky, especially the noise.   No chucks in view yet but I want to be ready.

Hi everyone, indoor jobs to do today as weather is heavy mizzle and chilly all day. I have plenty to do and don't know where to start, so will probably end up not doing much at all. Maybe planning what to do with the area in the garden where OH dug out our large fig tree and roots that had infiltrated the drainage pipes. He has replaced them all and filled the trenches back in. Why is there always more soil left over than came out of a trench?
    Have a good day all.

Here I am again.  I actually got a bit of gardening done after all. It wasn’t too bad mid afternoon. Hubby grabbed my large loppers and attacked the Snowy River Wattle which has been trying to take over the whole place for ages.  It suckers quite badly.

I hope your sore bits feel better soon Obelixx
Loved the stories about your birds Fairy, as well as the squirrel video.
I had a roo and junior lazing behind the house this morning, they had found a spot out of the wind and a bit of morning sun. They stayed there for ages.

Watching the wonderful evening news (not) while Hubby is snoozing of the lounge chair.
We’ve been watching old episodes of our favourite bike races (La Tour)  the last couple of nights.  Lovely to be reminded of past excitement.
