I dig up Amistads each winter and they do fine in a cold greenhouse. We are expecting a storm tonight, so need to get Moira to move some pots for me. Also need to show her how to divide some Bearded Irises, these things are so much easier to do, than explain to someone else. how to do. Having now been off morphine for a while, after 6 weeks [ no booze ], I think a nice bottle of wine will be called for tonight.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Good news, someone is looking round NDN's house, I hope they buy it. I only know because they came here first. I did tell them it was a wonderful place to live, with really good neighbours!

Whoops! I went back to sleep 😴 ... now I’d better get a move on or the whole day will be gone .....
Lazy tart... Sponges made. Look fine. As long as they taste ok all will be good. I spoke too soon - rain's been on for an hour. We have windy stuff forecast for tomorrow too @punkdoc. Glad you're on the mend now. Small steps become bigger. You'll soon be frisking around like a deer Not sure much will be getting done, although I can do some deadheading now that my new snips have appeared. The spring for the old one is somewhere in the bed full of plants...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
It’s ok @Fairygirl ... I don’t need a broom stuck anywhere 😉 I’ve made the tomato sauce and the sourghdough based for tonight’s pizzas, cleaned up and swept, checked the garden and all the pots etc ... and ladies ... do you remember my dream about a certain item of yellow ‘clothing’ ? A couple of days later the Bravissimo catalogue arrived with just such an item ... I ordered one yesterday, it arrived today and it’s rather gorgeous, wonderfully comfortable and not a wire anywhere. Bliss 😎

@punkdoc ... glad you’re feeling a bit better ... maybe it was when you were comatose that GW had a feature on Monty dividing his bearded irises ... it’ll be on iPlayer won’t it?
