    Just home from work.
Road closed so a very , VERY long detour to get me to a point less than a mile from the road closure.
2 houses with drives so overgrown I couldn't get the van up them and another customer who was very "arsey" because I wouldn't walk through her garage to leave it inside her internal door. ( I'd seen 4 fit and able adults in the house so why she thought I should break Covid rules and enter HER house is beyond me. Hey ho. )

Sounds a frustrating sort of day @Hostafan1

I had my hair cut this morning with my favourite girl. Everything was wiped down between clients and she wore a perspex shield. Then when I looked for my Barclaycard it wasn't there B- I'd left it in a shop yesterday when I bought a birthday present for Son 2's wife Oops The shop keeper took the card machine back behind her perspex screen, gave me the receipt but not the card and I didn't notice. We'll have to go back tomorrow, over an hour's drive away.

Friends are coming for a "goodbye" drink at 6pm as we are going back to France on Saturday. Then it will be a busy time, paperwork and inspections for the house, sorting out (clothes, papers, books, rubbish, unwanted furniture etc), pool man is coming to clean the pool, I will be house hunting and second viewing a house that I like. Also family visits, seeing grandchildren.

I put the washing out this morning and did some gardening and it has rained all afternoon. I will have to brave the rain, get in the washing, put it back in the machine for a spin and hang it up indoors.

@chicky yes we did get up to the Allotments & the fruit, I noted that some of their blackberries are beginning to ripen as well so it's not just mine.
I agree with the Doc @Yviestevie can't be too careful with eyes.
I seem to have someone blowing cold air on the back of my neck- oh yes I got a haircut, we had gone to normal shops & the Barbers I use is near the traffic lights where we turn in, there was only one person in the shop & other assistant waiting so I went straight in, they said it was manic for the first 3 days but had calmed down now, my wife couldn't believe how lucky I was not having to wait.

    Evening.

I am really hoping that the weather will change into something vaguely resembling a July day.
A haircut is not very high on my to do list. I will stay with my COVID home-cut for a little while yet, but will probably book something next month, just in case we are locked-down again. I am fairly desperate for an eye test and new glasses though - have they started doing eye exams yet?

    Hope you are all well.

Not a haircut yet but have booked a back and shoulder massage for next week. My right shoulder has been giving me grief lately despite the steroid injection I had back in February so I was overjoyed when I heard today that beauty salons were opening next week. Luckily the Banes area has had no virus cases for the last fortnight, so should be safe enough and I'll wear a mask.

Hope your shoulder improves with the massage @Lizzie27 ... mine’s much better than it was ... hopefully my physio will open again soon.

Good morning everyone.  Hope you’ve all had a good sleep. Mild and still here. No gardening though. Feeling lazy. 🙄

    Morning all,

Lovely day cycling with Charlie yesterday in Périgueux and nice lunch at a very kitch restaurant near the cathedral, such a pretty town, the cycle path was mostly by the river too and they have done a fabulous job of planting it up with trees and shrubs all the way along. Lots of picnic benches and resting points. Beautiful.

Really busy in the Tearoom last night, all went smoothly, but I'm going to have to get more staff, the 3 of us didn't stop all night and some have already booked in again for next Thursday.

Loads booked in for breakfast today, odd but true, so just to say have a good day all. 😁😁
