Quite. And the biggest lump is on my "good" knee. I've given up planning a walk in the nature reserve - every day set aside so far has had rain and now I have 2 knees! However, bodging in the hen house is going well. We've been scouring the ruin and the cave for spare bits of wood to line the inside walls and make it a bit less draughty.
I have some nigella babies to plant this pm. Never managed to get them to grow in Belgium (soil too rich?) so I hope they'll be happy and self seed cos I really like them.

Sorry to hear about your fall @Obelixx, sounds really painful - why does it seem to hurt much more when you're older? Bumps on knees not good at the best of times. Mention of your 'cave' sounds interesting - a real one?
Lovely video, @Fairygirl. Apparently there are red squirrels around here, but not in this garden. A friend who lives near the lake has a lot of woodland and sees them from time to time.
An unexpectedly dry day so after the weekly shop in the village supermarket, I've been in the garden - accompanied for a couple of hours by hubby, who's decided he doesn't mind weeding. I've given him a patch with annual weeds, easy to remove, and a clear boundary before the vegetable patch (and even he can recognise runner beans!). Need to nurture the interest carefully because other than mowing the lawn it's the first gardening he's done in about 15 years!
No news watching here. We listen to news on the radio once a day and that's enough...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Evening all, Sorry to hear about your fall @Obelixx hope the knee improves soon. Loved the squirrel video @Fairygirl
Visited Secondborn today, for some reason Gabriel has become G'andads boy and doesn't want any cuddles from his Nanna. Good job I'm thick skinned. It's grey and miserable here. We've had some rain but not sure how much. Didn't need to water though so that's good.
Evening all,sat down at last! I'm not complaining, so happy to be back at work and everyone is loving it. I organised an Indian Banquet event yesterday with a local artist who has been put out of work by the dreaded virus, he sings at weddings and night markets and of course they're all cancelled. Anyway, we set the date for the 18th of July and it's virtually fully booked already. He seems to have a really good following so I think we'll try and do a couple of soirées a month. Perfect on the new deck and he does seem really nice and not at all expensive. Cooler here so new plants are recovering and not wilting quite so much. Still in the 20 degree plus numbers, comfortable to work in.
@Obelixx, you do seem to fall over a lot, hope you're not too sore, perhaps a bit more water with it....😅 @punkdoc & @chicky, stick with gardening (even with a pointing stick) it's safer and better for your sanity. Nothing else matters. Except sleep, must get some, good night all. @Busy-Lizzie , I'll look forward to a visit hopefully once you're back to 'normal'.
Now, sleep...

Thanks for all the kind wishes folks. I've been a bit stiff today but otherwise fine. Faffed about with making the donkey shed less draughty and then did the last panel of rusty mesh for the run and planted a Lambton Park clematis - brought with me from Belgium so 4 years in a pot and will probably go into shock now that it can spread its feet.
I’ve had a busy day what with potting on between downpours, a little light hsewk and the receiving and putting away of our first successful online supermarket order. The only thing they didn’t have was cornflour.
Now I’m so tired ... so hugs to the poorly, the bruised, the wobbly, the recovering, the exhausted and anyone else who needs a cuddle. Night night all ... sleep tight 😴
