I like watching football, but how/why they decided that it was a 'good' thing to bring back loses me completely. People sitting miles apart in the stands wearing masks (? why), yet people close to the action just carrying on as normal. And as for the drinks break 'huddle'... makes you wonder what protocols they're using in the changing room - hope it's the same as swimming baths, and all the players have to come to the ground with their kit on under their normal clothes!

I would wear armour rather than risk covid. Period.  And "risk" being called names!  You would hate it over here in Ireland.

Morning folks. We’ve received 40mm rain so far, so we are very pleased. Hosta, we haven’t driven out the back to check the dams yet, but will try to do so tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

I agree Steve, course a lot of the "experts", said it would give some a false sense of security, I would go so far as to say 90% of people dont wear masks properly.  I went to Morrisons Friday, lady assistant shoving the mask around, I very politely told her she shouldnt touch it, (she was helping me find a product at the time) she said it wouldnt stay up, told her it was because she didnt have the nose clip bent over her nose! I watched people all ages fiddling with them.  Had a really nasty blazing row with the old man last night, over them. He was just off to bed, I put on the ITV news, stuff comes on about Spain, masks, he comes back in the room,he is ranting raving, says the reason why (some) people are refusing to wear masks is because the News programmes (all channels, including radio) just talk about the negative aspects of the virus, (are there any positive ones then!) I didnt shout, I just calming said I wanted to watch the news, Oh, he was really nasty (to me) I am still upset this morning.  If we have "words" I am always careful what I say, you cannot "unsay" cruel things, over the years, how many people have said (at work)the last words they said to a loved one (who, unfortunaely then somehow died) were awful.  I know they say you should never go to bed on a row, well, I wasnt going to say, I am sorry I upset you by watching the news, when I thought you had gone to bed!!
