Wow!  Caulies are not easy to grow, even for experienced gardeners. Much respect Charlie!  😎

The rain has been good. Before and after photos of our river.

The washing is still on the line though.🙄😁.   Not that I’m complaining.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
A bright morning ... but it does feel cooler than I would like in July ... warmer at the end of the week hopefully.
That river looks a bit better @Pat E ... the wildlife will be happier 😊

I was watching the football (as you do) the other day - and a man in protective gloves, apron and mask was sitting in the stand. I assumed he was part of the medical team. He had the mask pulled down under his chin, and his hands (in 'paying' position) were up to his face with the thumbs under the chin and the forefingers across his mouth and resting against his nose in a 'comtemplative' pose. Barking.
Loved the fact that the footballers were still spitting and clearing their noses all over the show as well in every game I watched. And guaranteed at least one shot of someone in the stands misusing a mask.
I went to my local drug dealer, one person at a time in the shop, and the person behind the counter had a mask hanging from one ear. As I went in, they grabbed the mask and put it over their mouth again before getting my prescription.

    All insane eh?

Having said that, I used a mask for the first time to go to Sainsbury's last Friday. I consciously  now (since covid) avoid touching my face but I wear glasses  and after putting the mask on, I found myself constantly either adjusting my glasses or the mask to try to stop the glasses steaming up. And as soon as I got back to the car I took the bl**dy thing off - but had a strong urge to touch my face where the mask had been.

I'm not sure masks in general are that good an idea for the general public - seems to me to be more a sop to make people 'feel' safe . I'd love to know how they collect stats on whether they're beneficial or not in the various 'public' environments - especially as the people they interviewed coming back from Spain were saying how safe they felt over there (safer than back in the UK) as the locals were already wearing masks - so would tend to make you wonder why then they were getting spikes.

But football brings its own immunity, be it players, supporters or, I'm sure ,anyone watching it???? It certainly seems that way from what I've seen them doing on TV
