Book selection by the library sounds good @PurpleRose - I often find I stick to authors I know, so its good to try something different - hope you find some new favourites.
Drive in cinema last night was great fun. They let you sit outside your car with deckchairs and blankets. Loved the film (again) .....we all came home happy 😀😀😀
Meeting up with my Pilates class in the park this morning. First time since January (I missed Feb as I was in Australia, and by the time I was back the world had gone weird). Will be good to see them all from a distance. Making the most of these social opportunities whilst the weather still lets us. Think Autumn and winter might be a very different story.
Hope OH is hanging on in there @Busy-Lizzie ...... its the uncertainty thats the worst. I’ve not made too many plans for that reason, but not possible for some folks. Is he expecting his hip op to happen in August?
Hope Moira’s new job goes ok @punkdoc, and that you soon get used to the new normal. Is gentle gardening still on the agenda?
Got a couple of errands to run today and I am hopefully able to collect some library books which they are kindly selecting for me. Our local library have started a service where you email them they types of books you like and authors and they will select some books. They also do pot luck bundles and if you like certain types of books or authors they can recommend other books/authors. I have missed the library. As well as a gardener, I am also a book worm. Growing up, I always had my nose in a book.
Hope that you all have a lovely day 😎
The library sounds excellent. We are so few there they no longer visit and now I cannot get to town I miss picking up a bag of books at thrift shops. Which I take back when read. Online reading is not the same. Ah well!
Need to go shopping before it rains so I'll just send best wishes to those with worries and illness, and greetings to the rest. And say to @Hostafan1 that your garden is magnificent.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Crikey @Hostafan1! What do you feed your plants with? That new bed has grown amazingly.
@chicky OH's hip replacement was due in July. The hospital said there would be a 3 or 4 months delay because of Covid as they had been taken over by the state for Covid patients but, in fact, they haven't had any.
I'm off to dentist son to have another partial crown fitted. My teeth are getting brittle. Bad backache this morning, I did a lot of gardening yesterday morning as it was cooler, the joys of getting older. Tomorrow is forecast very hot late 30s. Wish I could swap with Hostafan. Too hot for me.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I think about 30 dumpy sacks of compost prior to / post planting. I'd happily swap weather with you.
I've been getting books via Librarys West cloud since lockdown started. I've read some weird and wonderful things as you can never really tell from the synopsis if you will like a book but that might be an advantage. The best part is that its part of the normal library service and is FREE.

Just popped in to see how you're all doing.
