Good morning everyone. Sunny and already hot here but that's OK as it's not a gardening day today. Weekly SM raid which will include a check on LIDL in case they have more plants in and maybe a raid on the local nursery for more shrubby salvias.
Our tomato plants have finally started producing in bulk so I have a big colander full of Black Crimea and beef tomatoes to deal with and some fat yellow marmandes coming along today I expect. First chilli too.
Still can't get in the donkey shed to complete its conversion to hen house and Mr and Mrs wood pidge are still on their nest in the potting barn. Might have to build a "sparrow towers" on the outside of the hen shed.
Expecting 40C today and feeling hotter cos of the southerly breeze but they think we may get a storm tomorrow. That would be lovely.
Hope everyone is well and rested and has a good day ahead of them.

Morning all/afties Pat if you're around. Are you losing the plot @Hostafan1? Think I lost it a long time ago. There's another spammer on a lawn care thread if anyone fancies it. The pigeon must be happy there @Obelixx. Nice and dry too. I didn't see any trying to nest in our conifer this year. The crows and magpies have lost on of their home sites too, as the lovely pine tree has come down. Wet here, but it's not too heavy just now so I think I'll go out as it's to be much heavier later.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Morning everyone, hope all is well. Obelixx, it was because I was watching the News. He was angry at everything that particular day, new idiot boss, idiots on the road tailgating, so many near misses. He brings the cameras from the car most nights, (we don't really even need the TV!) MORE trouble with next doors fence, (sure all of you remember the saga) there are just a couple of panels he hasn't replaced (not our fence or responsiblity, realistically) one is split, bowed and pushing on our greenhouse glass. He managed to squeeze behind the shed, there was a bramble 6 in ch diameter stem coming over, they are what broke the fence. They have gone away, not sure if he will speak to them on return. He s giving his notice in today, typed by me all posh like haha! Another amazing day weather wise, not a cloud in the sky.Treated myself to a few plants and shrubs, as you do!
Got a day of visiting Dads planned - delivering groceries and stopping for a chat. Got a click and collect order to pick up on the way down (FiL doesn’t get the fact that when we say ee need his list on Tuesday, we mean Tuesday, not Weds morning 🤯).
Before that need to get the greenhouse and pots watered so they are ready for the scorchio day. Had our first courgettes (passed the lick test first 👍🏻) and the outside cucumbers are cropping nearly as well as the greenhouse ones. And baby pumpkins have started to set 🎃. All very exciting 🤪
Morning all. Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day. I plan a day of pottering in the garden and sitting in the sun. Here's a picture of Jonah and Gabriel taking themselves off for a stroll.
