Morning everyone. their is a breeze and some high cloud about at the moment so took the opportunity to do a few bits outside before it hits the 40 deg mark. Shaded the tomatoes with some old GH shading - some are getting scorched. Indoor activities planned for the rest of the day, well, at the moment until it gets too hot! I have to renew my passport so will have to get new photos done when I next go out to SM as they have a booth there. Daughter asked why I needed to renew it at the moment as I'm not planning on travelling, I told her I need to be prepared for all sorts at the moment as all the family are in the UK and I'm over here - you never know do you.
Lovely pic @Yviestevie. The innocence of youth eh? I've been for my 'stroll', showered and been fed. Doubt there'll be any outside stuff getting done, but I might manage to get some of my new project done inside. Rain isn't heavy just now, or not what I'd call heavy, but I certainly can't use a drill/saw out there. The wee birds are all stuffing their faces. The young sparrows were in yesterday - one wasn't keen on getting in the cage and doing it himself, so mum had to oblige. Lazy brat @floralies - always be prepared, like a good boy scout

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I always try to be prepared @Fairygirl Thanks @steephill, yes I did see there are long delays, eight months left on the passport so need to get a move on.
Lovely photo @Fairygirl . We only seem to get dunnocks in winter. Wrens too and haven't seen a robin for months. On the other hand, we do have swifts, swallows and house-martins all swarming and swooping for the last few days. Not seen that before.
Home from the SM run and it is hot so an indoors sort of afternoon for me cos, even in the shade (37C at the mo), the breeze is very warm whereas indoors we have just 26C - the joys of thick walls and roll down shutters.
Went to a GC on the way looking for a new rosemary plant and a sage but all their plants were squished up in a corner and very under-watered. Rescued a small leaved basil and a chervil plant plus 3 small lavenders and some erigeron reduced by 75%. All now recuperating in shade with a good drink.
Found some Pécharmant this week @D0rdogne_Damsel and have treated OH to a Limousin steak to have with it tho I may do a crispy chilli beef Chinese stir fry with that and have duck with the wine instead . Good luck with the clothes sorting @Busy-Lizzie . I've been doing it too but to see what fits now, what will do in another couple of kilos' time, what needs altering and what can go on the gardening and decorating shelf.

Cheers @Obelixx, I wish I had time to join you....
Hello to everyone, it's completely bonkers here - and 40 degrees, I have never seen so may people, all good but extremely hard work, even just doing the recycling is an hours job each morning.....any way all good, not complaining, I do hope you are all well.
Catch you soon. Garden is looking good too, although there is a hose pipe ban I believe, I haven't had time to do it anyway so it's a mute point.

Sweet photo @Yviestevie
Should be a scorcher today. Last night was too warm to get to sleep but then it cooled down and was only 17° at 8am.
I must get on with sorting and throwing out of clothes.
