It's raining! Still hot though. It's like a hot shower out there.

It's been a scorcher here.  I've stayed out of it.  I used to collect greenshield stamps and used them to get a lot of stuff for my 'bottom drawer'  pyrex casserole dishes were very big at the time and I got a full set.

34° in full shade here this afternoon. I'm not complaining really, as it's only for one day. Longer would make me very curmudgeonly! Some plants are proper scorched though, which is annoying. Still 27° degrees out there now at 7.45pm and the sun hasn't been out for several hours.

Our weather station recorded 39.4C in the shade yesterday.  Won't be as high to day as the breeze is cool whereas yesterday it was hot.   Very dry tho and even long established hibiscus shrub are wilting.   Lots of watering needed and that'll cost us as we're metered and no doubt they stop us doing that any day now so there'll be veg crops lost and ornamentals to replace........

Hubby has put on a pullover
Mine never takes his off.  It did come in useful a couple of years ago.  My nephew was visiting with his young family, it was a hot day so we went to the paddling pool.  The littlest fell in fully dressed.  OH was the only one wearing a second layer of clothing, so we stripped off the little lad and put his great uncle's jumper on him.
