Mobility scooters are marvellous things; my husband who suffered from MS used one from 2001 until his death in 2018. He got through several, we used to live a mile from the village and he was up and down all the time. A retired surgeon who lived nearby told him it was not a second car!! I love your pictures Busy Lizzie. So different from Rosemoor where we used to go at least once a year.
Looks like you had a great time @Busy-Lizzie I was due to visit Secondborn today but had a notification to say that my new outside table was going to be delivered. It's only taken a month (with the wrong colour table being delivered half way through). We put it together this afternoon and it looks great. I bet the weather changes now. Did some deadheading this morning and watering this evening. The garden desperately needs rain, the forecast says we might get a shower or two over the next few days.
Hyde Hall looks wonderful @Busy-Lizzie - so glad you both had a great day 😀😀😀. I’ve had emails from the head gardener at the garden I volunteer at. He is tearing his hair out at the state of the place. They have furloughed all but 2 of the gardeners, so none of the volunteers are allowed in ( part of the furlough rules). So the weeds are running riot. So sad.
Just back from meeting my sisters for a socially distanced walk round Arundel and it’s surrounding hills. Beautiful evening, and soooooo good to see them in person, rather than on a zoom screen.
Shame about West Dean chicky but I am sure you hard working volunteers will soon sort it out once you get going again. Although as we all know only too well, one year's seeds means seven years weeds.
THIS IS BLOODY AGONY. Doped up to my eyeballs in morphine, but still in pain. Strange the things that come into your head at times like these. I have spent most of today thinking about what songs had the earliest impact on me. Answer The Move - Fire Brigade, I would have been 10. I wish we could have visitors. I wish we had fans [ not allowed because of COVID ] I wish I wasn't here, please someone make me better.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Wish I could make you better @punkdoc .... hang on in there. You’ve got fans here 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 (Just not the cooling sort).
Earliest song I can remember is the one that looks at clouds from both sides, by Judy Collins. It was bought for me as a Christmas present (think I was 4) coz I used to dance to it. Still gives me goosebumps now (and still have the vinyl, up in the loft ☺️)
Punkdoc, I’m very sorry that the morphine isn’t doing the job for you. It must be terrible. I can’t think of anything to amuse you. I hope that your wife is coping. She must be very worried about you. Sending healing thoughts to you.

Glad you got the right table at last @Yviestevie
