Evening. It’s been on the verge of rain all day but was an ok temp for gardening. Current project is clearing a bit of the wilderness at the bottom of the garden - there a pile of rocks and old paving in deep shade and a bit of space behind some conifers.  It could be enough room for a little shed or maybe a shady seating area, planted with some ferns etc.

    Hope you are all ok.

Hi folks,  Hope you feel better soon @punkdoc
Not done much in the garden over the last couple of days.  This morning moved an Astilbe that wasn't doing well and reshaped the bottom of the back lawn (gives me another 18" of  border :)
Jonah has gone back to nursery today so I wont be seeing them for a while until we see how things go.
After watching one of the Chelsea programmes that were on last week I have purchased some foxglove seeds and plug plants from Botanics Nursery.  Never used them before but they have some lovely varieties.  Have had to chase up some hardy geraniums I ordered back in April from Cranesbill Nursery haven't heard from them since I placed the order.  Going out with Bestie tomorrow (in separate cars) to visit Beechcroft Nursery in Romsley.  Haven't been there in years as usually go to one with a decent cafe. Obviously that wont be a consideration at the moment. :'(
Hope you manage to sort out your chairs and tables @D0rdogne_Damsel

@Yviestevie, The Botanic Nursery's near Bath and has a good reputation locally as it has been established for many years. The owner gave our local Gardening Club a talk on foxgloves and other perennials last year and really knew his stuff.

I've been busy outside most of the day.  Hoed and raked where OH had been quarrying along the ruins wnd then bunged on two big bags of manure.   Then decided to move 2 big hemerocallis plants which are too red for that bed to the rose beds and that meant watering so while the sprinkler was on I went off and potted up more stuff in the nursery.   Dozens of snails still and I've taken to chucking them in the pond for the frogs to play with.

I think the snails eat labels too so I have no idea what half the shrubs in my nursery are now so I'll be posting pics for IDs in due course.   More hemerocallis planted, dusky pink this time.  Lots of plants rescued from the dry shade bed cos it's too dry so they're all potted up and in the nursery too.   Busy, busy and very mucky by the time I'd finished but satisfying.

Now to sort out my feet and nails.  We're having a clean clothes day tomorrow.  I shall do the SM raid in the morning while OH plays golf and then we're off for a walk in a natural reserve I've discovered just by the coast near here with wooden walkways thru dunes, marsh and water .    If that goes well we'll try more outings but not yet ready for busy places like restaurants and such tho they're open here now.

No rain.  None expected.   Seep hose in the PT is proving to be a good investment for the tomatoes and cucumbers.  There's a hoopoe sat on the wire near the house, eyeing up ants down below I hope.

Hope everyone's had a good day and had some fun too.

A busy day here protecting the squashes from cold wet and wind. Then buying compost, baking brioche buns, making burgers anc countless others stuff. It was cold and drizzly in the garden so not a lot  happened there.

Enjoyed Springwatch and now I’m almost asleep. Night night all. Special hugs to @punkdoc if he’s looking in.

    Sleep tight all 🛌 🐑

Glad you found compost @Dovefromabove 👍🏻👍🏻

Had a lovely visit with Dad this pm.  He had just had results of his latest scan ....immunotherapy has remarkably shrunk the bigger nasties, and obliterated the smaller ones. Yay, Yay, Yay 😀 😀😀.  He was (maybe unsurprisingly 😉) on great form.  Had Mr C tackling all sorts of little DIY jobs - they love solving conundrums together. I looked on and held spanners and chisels 🙄. But it warmed my heart 💓
