We do get some spectacular storms down here near the mountains @Obelixx, especially when they come up from the south with violent winds. Thanks for the link. OH has lifted the dish a bit and the signal comes back but it is a two man job while a third shouts the signal strength from the TV, so will seek help from our neighbour apres midi. I have some blackened leaves on cucumbers and climbing beans, nothing too bad.
@Pat E my OH’s mum (she’s in the Ukelele Orchestra, remember?) is 2 months older than you and she was recently given an iPad ... she’s struggled to get used to it as she’s only used her big computer and little phone before. Last time we saw her she was really struggling with it ... we spoke to her the other day and all has changed ... she loves it ... she said the thing that changed her was to put her old computer away and just stick at it and not be scared.
Hmm, I was going to offer to buy it from her ... not a chance now 😉

Hi folks, Just recovering from a bad dose of IBS, not great in this weather. At the moment I'm in the sitting room with the fan next to me. Haven't been able to garden but I've been drawing flowers with my watercolour pencils inbetween spasms.
Your new out door area looks fab @D0rdogne_Damsel hope today is going well.
You must have some lovely neighbours @Busy-Lizzie keeping fingers crossed for the viewing.
We haven't seen our hedghog for a while @Hostafan1 but he must be around as we haven't got a single hole in our Hostas, I've forgotten what a slug looks like.
Moira has been to see a "friend" this afternoon, so I was very surprised when she came home half an hour ago, in a foul mood. The friend had said it was my own fault I had pancreatitis, due to me being an alcoholic, Moira walked out. As a point of reference [ although I am sure you are all too nice ], it was not alcohol related pancreatitis.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Thanks @Dovefromabove, I am really angry, not because I care what some people might think, but because Moira has had a really tough time and was looking forward to a bit of down time.

Yes, I get that ... I feel really cross about that too ... even from here I know she’s been amazing ... some people really are such know it alls ... A little knowledge really is a dangerous thing.
And even if it had been true, was it a helpful thing to say at the moment when what Moira needs is a bit of R&R.
Give her these from us 💐
A friend has acute trigeminal neuralgia ...when he is having a bad time with it his speech becomes slurred ... he’s been accused by the ignorant of being drunk. He and his family know it’s not true ... but sometimes mud sticks ... it makes me so angry.

Goodness me @punkdoc. I think Moira might need some chocolate therapy as well as all the good wishes from this virtual mob of supporters.
Sorry you've had a rough day too @Yviestevie and hope things improve soon.
Rasta is back from the vet. She was seen by t'other chappy who kindly agreed to give her ears a good clean while she was under as she often gets muck in there when she rolls and we have to try and sluice them. Turns out the main vet had missed the presence of a major infection in both ears so much cleaning and scraping and lots of sore bits. We have to apply a cortisone gel every day for 3 weeks and have them checked again when she has her stitches out from the removal of a couple of cysts. Lots of fun coming up!
