Hi all - sorry, been a bit absent for various reasons Hope you've had a lovely birthday @Pat E. Did you have the fire brigade standing by for the candles? You have your own firefighter to help anyway.... All my love to you both, and here's to the next 80 or so xxx
Haven't read back so I apologise for not having a clue what's going on. Will try to catch up later.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Hi @Fairygirl - keep on hanging... things, as they say, can only get better...
Good to see you, @punkdoc. Hope your undergardener is very tolerant (and her boss is as well!).
Wettish morning here, and the max temp predicted for our sunny afternoon is 16. Much more my cup of tea than what you have in England, especially as I have enormous dock plants to dig out...
Hubby is happy. Watched footy on TV last night... only if you haven't had a telly for 8 months will you understand the relief he now feels. Me, I'm waiting for Friday so I can watch Gardeners World.
We have a scorchio week forecast too. Bit today is meant to be a bit cooler, so will give me a chance to weed one of the beds I can see from my sunlounger.......it’ll annoy me if it stays in the state it is now 🙄.
Have a parking space booked at our socially distanced beach for Wednesday - we booked it last week when we saw the forecast 😎.
Finished my latest bit of coronavirus cross stitch last night. My portfolio is growing 😜
Lovely to see you Fairy. Hope you and the girls are ok. Thanks everyone for the good wishes. Watching the news at the mo. 🙄😳. I really don’t know why we bother.
I'm very pleased with myself ... just accepted a quote for one third less than current insurer for Buildings & Contents ... slightly better cover too and with a reputable company ... it wasn't the cheapest quote. Now I'm on hold waiting to tell the current insurer to sling their hook ... I'm sure they'll tell me they can match the quote, and my response will be that as a long established customer I expect to be given their best price automatically .......................................... well, the nice chap called Alex completely understood my point ... I said I had better things to do with my retirement than to spend it haggling.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
