Haven't listened to yesterday's yet @Dovefromabove . I recorded it thoughĀ I have some seed to sow, but I did some new lettuce yesterday when it was dry. The ones from last year failed spectacularly, so I bought some new ones.Ā Not much else to do out there apart from deadheading, and I'll maybe try and decide on the other clematis I want for various spots. It'll take me forever though. Every time I think I've made a decision, I change my mind. HopelessĀ Think the bees are almost finished in their 'squatter's lodgings'. Wee soulsĀ Hope @chicky has a good day - plenty of ice cream... Not sure the front grass is going to be dry enough to cut.Ā Bright but cloudy here, so I'll go and do something in case it gets too hot for me.Ā
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Morning. Iām just deciding what to do with my day off. I have already been to stock up on frozen food and the second load of washing is on. Think Iāll sit out and do a few jobs now then hide under parasol until this evening.Ā
Another beautiful day here, but I shall be confined to sitting on my fat butt, which is getting a bit tedious. Better get used to it though, I have several more weeks to go. I can assure you @Fairygirl, that Moira is more than happy to give me the odd slap.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Hubby gave me a new iPad. My old one is the size of a book. Ā The new one, an iPad Pro, is A4 size, is as slippery as an eel, is too heavy, it doesnāt have a button on the bottom to click on and off, and numerous other things. Grrr! Ā Ā Needless to say, Iām finding it difficult to come to grips with. He, of course, doesnāt understand why I find it very irritating. Ā Obviously Iām too old to learn new things. š
Lovely present @Pat E.Ā It took me a while to get used to this laptop (my first) as well - it had Windows 10 on it. Just a cheapy one from Aldi to see if I liked having one, not a super duper posh one like yours! It is also very slippery and I cracked the casing within a fortnight of getting it when it slid out of my hands onto our granite hearth - so be warned, a very firm grip is needed. My son bought me a lovely padded carry case for it after that.
Hope you enjoy the seaside @Chicky - we're too far away really for a day trip.Ā Have a lovely day off @AuntyRach. Are you allowed to walk round your garden @Punkdoc? If so, you could take a notebook with you and make plans/lists.Ā Do hope Dordogne Damsel has got her tables by now.
Lovely present @Pat E Ā ... Iām seriously thinking I need one to help with my painting as my all singing all dancing camera seems to have died šĀ
if Itās Ā too heavy you might find a little desk/easel like this helpfulĀ
Fully adjustable height and angle of slope and quite sturdy. About Ā£40 via Ama7on ... you can pull it close and get your knees under it. Iām finding it helpful for doing close painting and drawing so I donāt have to bend my neck too much.Ā
Gardening in Central NorfolkĀ on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Hi @Lizzie27, funny you should say that, I have just filled several pages with things I have to do. I am taking short walks, up to about 20 minutes, but then wounds start to hurt and I start feeling a bit pathetic.

That looks like a practical piece of kit @Dovefromabove.Ā Ā I'd rather have a laptop than an iPad @Pat E but if you're used to one I dare say your new one will soon become second nature and you'll love it, especially if the screen is better.Ā Ā Mind you, I have no idea what iPads do - my PC is used for letters, emails, spreadsheets, photos, FB messaging with Possum, noodling on here and googling for all sorts of other stuff.Ā Even the odd jigsaw in winter.Ā Come to think about it, I'm still muttering about the new car cos its satnav and other bits and bobs are so different.Ā Ā Better screen tho and better radio reception.
It's hot now.Ā 32C down in the potager and midday curfew for machinery too so we've stopped for a while.Ā Ā All the posts cut with my new toy and 3 holes dug with OH's toy and posts setting.Ā Ā Tried to buy chicken wire to stretch round the rusty grid whose holes are big enough for escapologists to get thru but we're not allowed.Ā Have to be a commercial producer in these days of virus.Ā Ā Same excuse at the builders' merchants when I asked for grid with smaller holes.Ā Ā Never mind, I have a plan B.
@punkdoc - it's only good for Moira if you don't enjoy being slapped!Ā Ā Just think, you might have to be sat staring at the garden in the depths of winter so just take the time to enjoy the flowers and the birds and the rest.
Hope everyone's day is going well and there is fun to be had. Ā Ā Ā
Hello again. That desk/easel looks to be just the thing Dove. Ive given himĀ a strong hint. It might be helpful for my Ukelele music as well. š Thanks everyone else for suggestions. Patience, patience, is the word I think.Ā
