I hate going to the hairdresser. I get a dry cut only, so that I'm in and out quickly. I'm getting to the stage where I need a pony tail at the back, and on top  :D
Hurrah - we're allowed to travel more than 5 miles from the 3rd of July. Hopefully, the weather might be favourable and I can get a hill - at last, knees permitting  :)
I had to keep coming in too @Yviestevie, and it was nothing like as hot here as it is further south. Not much breeze either. I can't tolerate it at all.
I think you might be right @Allotment Boy. It was fresh seed last year too. I thought it might be the rubbishy compost with the first lot I sowed, but the next 2 lots had decent stuff. I managed to get one lettuce out of it!
That's a pain re the mesh @Obelixx. Good job getting some stuff done with the new toy though  :)
Really can't be bothered having any dinner. Anyone got anything spare?

We retreated to the shade this pm so only 2 more posts done in the sun.  36C by then.

I'm actually pleased we can't have the chicken wire @Fairygirl.   It's not pretty and a pain to work with.   Soon after we moved here we bought two 20 metre rolls of rectangular green mesh roll as we thought we'd need to fence off access to the drive to stop the dogs barging out of the gates at the drop of a hat but they learned their new domain very quickly and don't go past the gates so I shall use that instead.  It will also be much better for the clematis and rambling roses I'm planning to grow up the enclosure to provide shade and be good looking at the same time.

I need a shower now and a hair wash.   Up early tomorrow to take Rasta to the vet to get her teeth cleaned and have a couple of cysts removed while she's not looking so only time for a quick shower in the morning.   She's 13 so a bit of a worry having an anaesthetic but I expect she'll be fine, if wobbly for a while.

I do my fringe when it gets irritating.  The rest gets an annual 6" trim and is usually tied back or up.   OH enjoyed his trip to the hairdresser about a month ago now but I still have to do his beard once a week.

    Evening all.
6 hours of grass cutting and a couple of hours toasting on the terrace. It was only 27C here.

Very hot here, but nice breeze at the beach.  We found a quiet spot so social distancing was easy.  Had a bbq tea and stayed on the sand til about 7.  Home now and feeling pleasantly tingly from all that sand, salt and a touch too much sun (although no red bits ....factor 30 did the trick) 🏖🏖🏖

@Hostafan1 I replied to your post on the other thread about the Crinum, not a lot of help I'm afraid. There are so many posts on there at the moment, it fell off the page.

Your beach looked lovely @chicky - far, far nicer than the one at Bournemouth I've just seen on the news - absolutely rammed, not an inch of sand to be seen, let alone a 2 m gap!!!
