    Not sure why I listen to theĀ  news either @Pat EĀ  :/
    Fingers crossed for you @chicky. Bucket and spade at the ready....
    @Dovefromabove - ta muchly.
    I can't be bothered with these companies either. I switch every year, although this year I haggled with the utility company. I got a slightly cheaper quote elsewhere but told them I really wanted to stay, so they matched it. One of the smaller companies, but they have lower payments through summer, which I like. Means the money's in my bank account earning interest...well, in theory it is... :D
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Morning all. Sunny here.

    I hope you've had a Happy Birthday @Pat EĀ Ā

    Your cross stitch is beautiful, @chicky

    I've just been on a shoe buying spree. I have a pair of black leather Clarks clogs that I wear with jeans and 2 pairs of M&S sandals, one smart navy, the other pewter, flat comfy, here at this cottage. I needed shoes that are more summery, comfortable, lightweight for wearing and walking all day to wear with jeans and dresses. I found just what I wanted in Thetford, silvery shoes and red shoes for dresses, really comfy without tights, and 2 pairs of slip on shoes by Sketchers to wear with jeans. One of those is a blue trainer but it just slips on.

    It was a joy shoe shopping in England. The French are much finer boned than the English, nothing fits, too tight. I end up feeling clumsy and deformed.

    Moira has just changed my dressings, they wanted me to go back to the hospital, but we decided this would be much safer. Next week she is going to take my stitches out, which might be more uncomfortable.
    She has been taking instruction in the garden much better today, I shall have to reward her.Ā  :)
