@chicky - hope your Dad is ok now. I'm sure he'll be delighted to see you. Us mere mortals were trying our best [well, most of us] but it seems we should have done whatever the hell we wanted  :/
My daughter gave me this yesterday

    Morning all!

:D to @Fairygirl - but  :s to poor @Dovefromabove .  Sympathy to @Hostafan1 too.  Hope there's no recurrence of the pain...

It's great that things are progressing for you, @D0rdogne_Damsel, and that Charlie is becoming an entrepreneur!

I'm stuck inside at the mo, champing at the bit to shift some more of the tonne of compost which was delivered yesterday.  I spread a lot on the "reclaimed" area in the front garden, using my shiny new wheelbarrow, yesterday afternoon, but today the house is surrounded by workmen putting the final coat of render on the insulation, and arguing loudly in Polish.  I suppose it has to be loud if you're more than 2m from your mate... anyway, I don't want to risk getting too close, or getting in their way, so it'll have to be an indoor day.  Maybe trying to repair the folding bunk beds, which decided to spring apart while hubby was trying to fix them to the wall yesterday.  It's amazing how far from horizontal the floor is, in a 1970's bungalow, and how banana-shaped is the wall to which he needs to fix the supporting bar.  Hubby was Not Amused when bits started falling off the framework, especially as he'd already dropped one of the beds on his foot...   :o

Hi @chicky.  Have a lovely time with (or nearly with) your dad.  You're right, the likes of DC and BoJo make us mortals spit.

@Liriodendron -Yeh - better staying in - you don't want to be rendered....
Look on the bright side- the beds could have been folding when someone was sleeping in them  :D
It's starting to clear up here and a bit of sun now. I have clems coming - possibly today. I have no compost to pot them up or plant them. Can you chuck some over from your shiny barrow....

    Morning all.
Just been to do a freezer top-up shop. There may be ice creams 😋
Going to tackle the ‘wild’ patch in the front today. I don’t mind the grass being left uncut here but ivy, brambles etc have crept in so they need to go. I also have an old Holly tree which needs a tidy.

    Have a good day all.

    Morning all.
    Very cloudy.

I'm sorry to hear that Dove isn't better after all.

    Granddaughter's 3rd birthday today, Son 1's family.

I'll tidy up in the front garden today, not much to do as the beds are small but the forget-me-nots are looking tatty.

Hi folks, It's a beautiful day here.  I'm seeing Firstborn and the grandchildren today, I'm passed caring now.  I obviously will still follow the two metre rule with those not in the family but it's been 10 weeks, it's my birthday and I've had enough of behaving myself when others don't.  I've had a beautiful bouquet from Secondborn and Hubby is taking me to Ashwoods tomorrow who are now open with the best system in place I've seen.  I need some rose food and seaweed feed and I reckon a few plants may just jump on the trolley.  Have a good day everyone.

Oh @Dovefromabove yes Knitting my big (well older) sister, had to give up knitting for a couple of years due to shoulder pain I had quite forgotten about it, next time we chat I will ask her how she got out of the problem.
Just cut the front grass, I tried the RHS no mow Month, the idea being that many lawns have dormant wild flowers in them which will come out if you do not mow for a month across late April-May. In our case all we got was some daises & dandelions, we have many more far better plats in the garden for pollinators so I don't think I will be trying it again.

Thank you @Allotment Boy I would be so grateful if your sister has any tips ...  knitting for me is like meditation for some other folk ... it keeps my brain in (some sort of) order 🤯

I’m glad you treat your older sister with proper respect ... I have a younger brother ... he is also my big brother 😉
