Good to see you chipping in @amberspy.
Still to be very windy here overnight and tomorrow - east side's getting off lightly  ;)
I gave up on the idea of a walk. I've spent too many days on hills in this sort of stuff. I can afford to be more choosy now  :)
I though of cleaning the oven, but I quickly changed my mind. I've been perusing clematis instead.
    Always a bad idea...

I've got it [F.Friends] coming from Taylor's next week, but maybe they don't have any more just now.

Hi folks, we managed our usual walk to the newsagents this morning, although got caught in a brief shower on the way. Didn't rain long enough to do any good though. It's so windy outside with tremendous gusts and I'm watching the very tall birches just outside the house with trepidation.  I'm also watching with some concern a young goldfinch which knocked itself out flying into our big window. It's still alive on the terrace but looking dazed - must have a hell of a headache. I can't really reach it without sending it into a panic so thought best just to leave it be, it'll will either recover or not.

Pleased to hear Obelixx will be back soon, thanks for letting us know Fairygirl.

Hope the neck soon gets better Dove and that DD gets over yesterday's trauma.

Hi Everyone, I've been in the garden for about 3 hours this morning, cutting lawns, moving plants and splitting iris Cimmeron Strip that failed to flower this year.  Took delivery of 8 plug plant ferns, so have potted them on.  Shattered now, ran out of my pain killers (thought I had another box) have reordered but probably wont get them now until Tuesday so back and hands are not good at the moment.
I also got on the scales this morning for the first time since lockdown.  I'm still in shock, put a stone on and that's not good for the arthritis will need to give myself a good talking too and cut down on the treats. Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

Afternoon, discovered yesterday, on a doggy walk, along the South Downs, our local nursery is open, yeah!!! Visited today, its so flaming windy, Almost had a catastrophe! The (fish) pond has a piece of hose coming out down near the bottom, not sure what its for, in the wind, it managed to blow out from the pond, which was merrily draining, itself! Hubby hankfully noticed it, there was very little water in the bottom, we have now emptied out the remaining waterin the butts to protect the fish.
