Happy Birthday @punkdoc. Spend it in a suitably unproductive way
Morning all/afties Pat if you're there. Still raining here, although the wind has died back now. It was dry last night for a few hours though. Supposed to clear up later, so I'll hopefully get out after taking fairylet to work. Enjoy your fiddling @tuikowhai34 Glad the wee goldie was ok @Lizzie27. Horrible when they do that. Enjoy your day @D0rdogne_Damsel - hope the sun shines for you Hope @Hostafan1 doesn't have too many clowns on the roads today. I had to laugh at the joker who 'parked' near me last night when collecting daughter. I say parked - abandoned was a better word. Almost no other cars around, and he had it right down the white line of the parking bay, on an angle, with the a*se end hanging out into the road. He even looked at it when he got out. Clearly thought he'd done a good job, as he and the wife swanned off into the shopping centre. I'll let you guess the model of the car.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thank you for the birthday wishes. Peeing it down here and I am really grateful, we need some rain. Have had music playing in the woodland all night, trying to dissuade the deer from coming in, seems to have worked the last couple of nights. Sausages being cooked for a sarnie, so all is well with the world.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Love the music idea @punkdoc - what did you use - bit of Clash or Stranglers? Did you hear me tell the tale about the item on Landward up here a year or two ago? They decided that since the re-introduction of wolves was being discussed, they'd see if they could also find another alternative to stop deer invading woodland and destroying newly planted saplings, rather than doing fencing. A group of volunteers spent several hours on a regular basis, going into the woods and howling.... Apparently it worked

Might employ that tactic here 😮. Might not tell anyone why either 😉. They’ll just think I’ve lost the plot.
Having some success this year (whispers so as not to jinx it 🤫) with the grazers spray. Was inspired by the hosta appreciation thread to see if I could keep them becoming fodder this year. So far, so good 🤞🏻🤞🏻. This is outside our front door ... one of their favourite chomping grounds.

Have you done any research into which music the deer find most objectionable @punkdoc ?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all. Happy Birthday @Punkdoc 🍾

Perhaps you try the Bay City Rollers. That would certainly keep me away...
What's in the spray @chicky? Looks like it's working well
